Manchester United Vs Arsenal

Two of the top Premier League Teams are going head to head in what could decide who is standing atop the league in points.
These are two of the more prestigious and talented clubs in the League, so the game should be good. Though Arsenal has been a better team this year, Manchester seems to be more favored going into this game.
Of particular interest, I have placed a bet against Gambler as to the outcome of this game. However, instead of deciding on who is going to win, our bet is on the total score of this game.
Gambler has placed his bet that the total Goals scored for both teams combined is going to equal 4 or more goals.
I have taken the side of 3 or less goals.
Again, this total is the scoring of both teams combined.
The winner of this bet is given the opportunity to choose whatever they'd like the loser to put in their signature. I have chosen "Neko-chan is better than me at most some things - especially in predicting the outcome of football matches" to go in Gambler's signature. The text must link to this thread =)
I'll let Gambler decide what he wants to go in mine if he somehow wins.
So place your own bets on the outcome of this game.
Me or Gambl- Er... I mean Manchester or Arsenal...

meh.. Arsenal is just a bunch of kids who can't keep their moral steadily, it's just like last season in the end where their performance worsen at half season. It's still early for them to win premier league.
I'm sure Manchester United will win premier league this season, Sir alex still have tricks under his sleeves!
-GLORY~ GLORY~ MAN UNITED!
Edit:
but i doubt Man utd going to get goal glut

Both teams are undisciplined this year. Gambler's only hope is that both teams break the game wide open by each side collapsing defensively.

I'm a United fan, but in line with my predictions for the season and by my best wishes, I reckon Arsenal will win 2-1. Predicted that Chelsea would collapse having lost Carvalho, and United had pushed their squad one season too far.
Like I say, I kind of hope we lose because we need to under-perform this season to force some transfers. I genuinely think we'll lose because Rooney and Berbs aren't quite there yet as a partnership, passing isn't good enough, and we don't have anyone with Nasri's form. Midfield is where it'll be won and I don't think Carrick or Fletcher can break their play up. Though I wouldn't mind being wrong if we thrash them.
Ultimately, United will stifle them for the most part but not create much, and Arsenal will capitalise on errors. What I can guarantee is that it won't be as good as Chelsea - Spurs :p

Man U ftw!
The total scores probably gon be below 4, matches like this aren't very goal satisfying since it's between 2 strong teams..

Always been an Arsenal supporter, mainly because of its french touch.
So I just hope they'll win over United.

The text must link to this thread =) In the event that I win the bet, I will only require Neko-chan to have the following in her signature: "Gambler is better than me at most some things - especially in predicting the outcome of football matches, obviously." It isn't too far off from her corresponding demand, with the exception of the word "obviously"

Getting back on topic, I am betting on a scoreline of 4 goals or more because my instincts tell me that an unexpected result might occur. Injuries, form, and other available pre-match information may aid punters in making the correct prediction, but no one is able to accurately foresee what will transpire during the 90 minutes or so of a football/soccer match, particularly that of red cards and penalties.
Barcelona beat Real Madrid 5-0 in their most recent meeting. I doubt anyone expected that particular scoreline. Then again, we are talking about the English Premier League right now. ^_^;;

I'm a Gunner at heart and always will be.
Arsenal has gone too long without a title, and this could be a tide-turning game in means of the League.
Nasri has been a Cannon for us, and I hope he can continue to work his magic, like he did when he first came to Arsenal.
I see a 2-1 scoreline again, with Nasri scoring.

I wish we could sustain this kind of football-related discussion...
a) You guys need to do this more. Wagers should advance to the point of stripping.
b) We need email alerts back :(

I didn't think Gambler would want to strip, so I didn't ask. I can see a 2-2 game taking place. It can end in a tie and Gambler still win. 3-1 is also possible for Man U since Arsenal seems to be dealing with injuries (so I've heard).

Neko-chan: Arsenal have a 20 year old stand-in goalkeeper and are missing a big player in Fabregas, but United are missing a huge player in Paul Scholes. Even stevens.
Gism88: there is one, under the name 'Association football (soccer)' about halfway down the page. :)

Nasri has been pulling the strings, almost a good as Fabregas. He's been explosive. I'm just worried RVP/Chamakh will do very little. Would like to see Walcott in, but our defense is shaky, even with Sebastian in.
Oh, I didn't even realize that.
I had posted there a while ago, but I thought it had died.

In any case, the 3-1 scoreline has occurred for 2 matches over the weekend, namely that of West Ham v Manchester City and Newcastle v Liverpool, so I doubt it will appear again, at least based on my conspiracy theory.
If Berbatov could score 5 goals in a single match, I don't see why any of the Arsenal or Manchester United player cannot repeat the feat.

Arshavin has come the closest (2 years go >_>).

Man U scores in the first half early on. Arsenal scores before the half is over. Then Arsenal scores again early in the second. Late at the end of the second half, Man U gets one more goal - and people will blame it on the ref for being Man U biased. The game ends 2-2 and both sides are disappointed in a tie.
Rooney will score on of Man U's goals, maybe both (I don't know why people are saying he is going to have a hat trick - why would people say that!?). I understand he is in a goal drought, and it does seem time for him to break it, but I don't think he'll get two goals.
Maybe I should bet on that? If Rooney scores tonight?
Anywho, if this bet was on who is going to Win, I'd say Man U 3-1. However, in all scenarios I mentioned, Gambler wins the bet =(
Edit:
I usually get a little nervous whenever the opposing team nears the goal box. Now I am nervous whenever EITHER team nears the opponent's goal.
@22' AHH! ROONEY!?!
@22' 50" STOP IT ROONEY!
@24' Everyone needs to calm down...
@36' Arsenal doesn't put up much of an effort whenever they get deep in Man territory.
@40'Park... I don't think that was on purpose... 1 for Man and 1 for Gambler...
@42' I think Man is starting to figure out Arsenal. Either that or Arsenal's players are tired or just outmatched.
@Injury Time: Uh-Oh... giving them a chance at the end of the half... bad Arsenal..
-Half-
Arsenal is disappointing. If Rooney gets that Hat trick in the second half then Gambler can still win =) I expect at least another goal from Man U though, they are pressing with efficiency. Neither side is doing that well though, and they both seem frustrated. Arsenal was so bad getting anything going in the first half, they might come out with a fury in the second. They'll have to do something, Man U really should of had more goals, either with missed penalties or just Arsenal getting lucky ball bounces. They are also going to have to figure out how to not get dominated in midfield.
-Half-
@46' Weak effort by Arsenal
@50' Not enough people in the box. Poor Forward had no options...
@51' Looks like Arsenal is stating to get something going.
@61' If Rooney would stop settling in crowds of defenders, he might be able to get a shot off.
@67' Not quite, Mr. Anderson...
@73' Rooney, Your shot wasn't even on target! The keeper could of took a bathroom break! Oh well, Karma I suppose. Hand ball wasn't intentional.
@76' Substitution. Gambler's final hope. I want that sig in blue bold Arial
@79' I would say Arsenal isn't taking advantage of their chances, but I think United is just playing great Defense.
@79' Nope... nope... they just aren't taking advantage of their opportunities... shot wide left.
@82' United wants another goal. Rooney MAD!
@84' Arsenal defender knew he was beat. He had to pull down the Man U attacker.
@85' Oh Rooney... You'll never score another Goal again...
@86' Wow, you will deliver nice passes all the way across the field...
@89' Too bad. Arsenal wasted a quality cross, then the attacker has sloppy footwork and takes the ball out of bounds.
@91' Arsenal Fans are leaving... GET BACK IN YOUR SEATS YOU BASTARDS!
@93' Attacker really should of leaned into that shot.
@94' BOLD. BLUE. ARIAL.
The original bet was 3 goals or more vs 2 or less. I was going to admit defeat if the total was 3. But it looks like it doesn't matter =D
Man U did well, Arsenal just couldn't get their attack together. Park scored, Rooney pretended he was going to score. Man United won because they controlled midfield, Arsenal didn't get the amount of chances they needed to make shots - and they would of needed a lot with how anemic their attack was.
K, now Chelsea needs to win everything ever =D Man U is going down >=|
