Mayweather v Pacquiao

It looks like Pacquiao will accept if the random Blood Tests stop 24 days before the fight.
When I heard this, instant red flag came up. I was like... What.....? Why 24 days? You must be on something. You take punches to the face for a living. A little blood isn't going to do that much.
While many people might not like Mayweather, I have to agree with him. You worked really hard to be 41-0. You don't want to lose the Pacquiao and 20 years later find out he was on something. You won't get that decision back and you'll be forever 41-1. You don't want that if you're Mayweather. You want to lose, if you lose, to someone clean.
Although, people know you're good, but they don't think you're the best. Mayweather needs this fight to validate himself to his haters.
That's my two cents. How about you?

                        mayweather sucks diqk!!!
he is most overrated fighters to come out in a long time. While a great defensive fighter, he has somehow been put by some in the same league as Muhammad Ali and Sugar Ray Robinson. If you actually sit down and watch a Mayweather fight, what you'll end up feeling by the end is utter frustration from the lack of action. Proponents say that this exemplifies his dominance, while real fight fans will tell you that his safety first, counter punching, get on your bicycle and win on points style is bad for boxing.
Furthermore, the guy is a spoiled, arrogant, self important, ass. He actually has the audacity to declare himself the best of all time. He fails to see that the only reason his last few pay per view fights have grossed high numbers was due to the opposition bringing in giant fan bases. Arturo Gatti, Ricky Hatton and Oscar De La Hoya all brought in the large majority of their audiences while all Floyd could do to drum up interest in himself was to act like a complete jackass on HBO's 24/7 series.
Another reason to balk at his claim to being the best of all time is his lack of good opposition. In comparison, Sugar Ray Robinson had over 100 fights in his career dominating most until the late stages when he was too old to fight. Mayweather has 38 fights. And while early on he fought tough opponents like the late great Diego Corrales and Jose Luis Castillo, over the last few years the names on his resume read like a list of unknown journeymen. Phillip N'dou, Sharmba Mitchell, Henry Brusseles, Carlos Baldomir, a washed up version of Arturo Gatti, and perennial underachiever Zab Judah. Some people will point to De La Hoya as a quality opponent but this reflects an ignorance about the sport. De La Hoya of 8 years ago may have been a good fight, but the current version of De La Hoya has lost 4 or his last 5 fights and is clearly on the downside of his career. But since he is still a financial draw people mistake him as a great fighter.
In reality the Mayweather phenomenon is more of a mirage. His management has consistently matched him against "name" fighters on the downside like Gatti and De La Hoya to pad his record while avoiding the tough fights, like the Miguel Cotto's and Antonio Margarito's. This has created a small but fanatical fanbase who will argue with you about Floyd till the bar closes down, that he is the best and doesnt need to fight anyone to prove himself. This logic contradicts itself and is typical of doublethinking Mayweather fans. The reality is that Mayweather is only interested in the "fights" that will make him the most money. And due to his overly defensive, running, counterpunching style, he has a very strong chance at winning most of his fights on points. If you like boxing the way its fought in the amateurs, then he is your man. If you like boxing as done in the professional ranks where the guys actually fight each other, then I suggest you watch the Rafael Marquez/Israel Vazquez trilogy or the Manny Pacquiao/Juan Manuel Marquez fights. All these fighters have just as much skill as Mayweather, the only difference is their actually there to fight.

I hear a lot of biased opinions based on his personality.
There's nothing wrong with being defensive. It's his style. If you watched the 2nd Round between Mayweather and Mosley, you'll see he can actually take some hits.
What's great about Mayweather is that he can take a boxer out of his gameplan. You'll see it in the fight. He takes them from Plan A to Plan B. Once Mayweather adjusts, the boxer has to move from Plan B to Plan C, and rarely do they have a Plan C. I think that's what sets Mayweather apart from others. He's a smart boxer.
*shrugs*
I love Tiger Woods the golfer, but I don't let his personal life and actions with the media let me hate on him.
If I had to equate Mayweather with something though.... Maybe the Yankees or Red Sox. Everyone is hating on their success and blames it on money. Everyone is hating on Mayweather's and says its his style.
Either way, he's still a good Boxer.

@luponce
you really know your stuff. my rep of the day goes to you.
here's my two cents: i watched the mayweather vs mosley fight and i was like, "if mosley wins, he gets one step closer to fighting pacquiao. as for mayweather, regardless if he wins or not, the fight with pacquiao will never happen." i thought of this because when mayweather was introduced, his nickname changed from "pretty boy floyd" to "the money". if for some impossible string-pulling the fight does happen, the name-changing is an indication that even if mayweather loses, he's not into his "flawless" record anymore, all he cares for is the money.

Mayweather as I've seen in all his fights and his latest with Mosely he's good counters, that's his big offense and defense against Manny, though seeing him taking some hits from rounds 1 and 2 from Sugar Shane Mosely, seems he needs to work more on his body than running his mouth in and out of the ring which he usually does.
As for Manny well he's complaining about on Mayweather having speculations drug testing him everyday before they fight because he's slandering him of using steroids and he can't be blamed for that. So he wants Mayweather to do the same. But as seen in the ring Manny is tried, tested and proven.

                        Here is my 10 Pesos:
Pacman.
If you have seen his training schedules, it actually goes on for most of the year.
Unlike other boxers who train like 1-2 months before the fight, Pacquiao spends a lot of his time training to keep both his (but more importantly) speed and strength. The only time he stops training is after he wins a fight or during regular breaks in the training schedule.

What can I say? I dont like him. He doesn't run his mouth but he's arrogant in his own subtle way and it pisses me off to no end.
Yes, he's good, one of the best but it's just something about him that rubs me the wrong way. Maybe it's the dumbass attempt at going into politics or that he "allegedly" cheats on his wife but dodges every question or the fact that he interrupts my show every hour with some stupid catchphrase that sounds stupid but ends up as a freakin' slogan. But I digress.
Bottomline, I like Mayweather, don't like Pacquiao, don't know, why don't care, hope the fight happens and hope Mayweather retires the douche.
