Messenger of choice?

Ninety percent of the time I'm on Skype, but I also use Trillian Astra for all my other old IM clients that I still semi-use.

AIM is simple enough for me. I still don't understand what it really does.

Been using Pidgin for a while because my friend has it. Has an addon called OTR which supposedly encrypts your message. You can consolidate all your instant messengers into this one. I use it with my AIM account. Doesn't have any annoying ads like the others.

Pidgin all the way. Adium (essentially Pidgin w/ a custom UI) if I'm using OS X.

Facebook Chat, lol. Kidding. My computer lags like crazy after using that thing even for around 5 minutes. (Or at least used to, think facebook fixed it, but haven't really tried using it again for a long time.) Still has problems with randomly disconnecting for a couple seconds when chatting.

I occasionally use Yahoo Messenger. I can't say its my messenger of choice though. Never really tried others, and I suspect there are much better ones out there. I should really give Skype a go sometime. Never heard of Pidgin, ill take look into it sometime too.

MSN Messenger... and Skype on occasion.

I use Raptr.

General all-purpose messenger.

Skype or Yahoo, don't bother to even try others

I'm stuck with yahoo messenger 'cause here in my country it's the most popular messenger and all my friends using it...

Honestly, i prefer MSN live and Skype...they do better.

always used msn, as ive never seen anything else that i really liked, other then skype. but none of my IRL contacts are on there, just a few friends from EVE

I like Trillian. .A. It helps me keep all my contacts organized, well, except when I have to add people, Trillian likes to ignore that...

Most contacts in Windows Live Messenger, but I prefer Skype and ICQ.
