Need Advice on which Gundam Model to buy.

Then whats the differnce on the MG Model Kits and NG MODEL KIts?

MG (Master Grade) has more parts, inner pieces, more detail. NG (No Grades) have none. It's just a taller 1/144 model.

I Saw this Exia repair 2 and 0 gundam together. and it says it comes with clear parts. does this mean that it contains only clear parts? and no solid parts

MG you said are just HG 1/100 (except MG Unicorn), except those (Astraea/F, and Avalanche) are converted from MG Exia, and it's not Bandai do (not yet).
Storm is modification, not Bandai official kits. Same with you read hobby japan or hobby dengeki magazine, you'll also see such as all mecha from 00 MSV series and MG Wing Zero(TV ver). They just modification from original one (Although bandai will release them soon).
And there is no way to TT Hongli to produce Gundam model kits outside Bandai's line up, such as storm. because they need to copy the frame runner from Bandai.



yup, all normal plastics color are replace with clear plastic color. As i know those two are in 144 scale and limited ver from Bandai. Don't know if Hongli will produce clear ver too, in mass production...

Also better buy HG 1/144 Avalanche exia (release soon) than HG 1/100 because it'll add more detail than HG 1/100.

I am also have a problem with choosing my next model right now. So I will be hijacking this thread.

So I got my mind set on buying a new model but can't decided between three. Two of which are Gundams and the other is not. So they are:

1/100 Unicorn Gundam OVA ver (or Ka)
1/100 Sinanju Titanium Finish

and

1/72 Armored Core Alicia Unsung

My sights are set on either Sinanju or Unsung. Both are like mecha sex incarnate for me. The metallic paint and general looks of Sinanju are great and I love reverse legs for whatever reason and Unsung got jizz in my pants type of reverse legs. However Sinanju is expensive as hell for the titanium and according to a friend of mine, Unsung would look much better painted then just normal. Unicorn is mostly in the afterburner right now but I will most likely get it eventually anyways so its not priority.

So... help? :D
And no just buy them all crap. I am only willing to splurge like once every month or 2. Getting Sinanju would make me not splurge for longer though =/

Since you like metallic looks and reverse legs, i suggest take Alicia Unsung.

But, If you choose 1/100 Unicorn Gundam OVA ver (or Ka). better take OVA ver. because some parts are re-new based from 'flaw' in ver.Ka. you can get more flexible action pose than ver.Ka

well i would suggest to get Alicia Unsung and Unicorn gundam Ova version perhaps the MS cage version is even better. probably i suggest to avoid buying Sinanju titanium finish since you can have the exact appearance with the normal sinanju and some airbrushes

Don't buy the ver. Ka Xel. That model is a brick and you can't do much with it at all. rrobbert184's review of the ver. Ka on Youtube tells why. So if you're going for the Unicorn, get the OVA ver.

and if you can,buy the one with MS cage.

I know I can get the same look with paint but I don't have the time/space to paint. I live in an apartment on ground floor so I don't even have a balcony. It is why I would even consider shelling out more for the titanium finish. As for the articulation, I don't really care much about it. I don't plan to play with it. Just put it into a cool pose and set it on my shelf. And no for the cage. IMO it is just stupid.
Guess I'll go with Unsung then. I was going to get that earlier anyways but ended up not =/ Thus my problem slowly started up.

Xel, i think you got bit wrong perception about action pose that i meant before. I don't play it with my gunpla either. Just get cool pose you get and put to shelf until you bored to that pose and change to that pose again.
What happen to Unicorn ver.Ka is same thing to RX-178 Mk.II ver.2(AEUG) which Mk.II's torso is not movable (my first impression: the hell.. this cool kits has excelent arms and legs joint from previous, but not for body?!) . Later it's fixed with new joint in Mk.II ver.2(Titan). I realise it because my friend bought both AEUG and Titans. Then Bandai re-release Mk.II ver.2 (AEUG) with gloss injection which is the torso joint from Mk.II (Titans). So this new parts for Unicorn (OVA) can make it do cooler action pose than ver.Ka

i have this one and i must say that i'm pretty lucky to get this.

there is a Black Neo Gundam version but i dont see it anywhere. maybe it has been sold out and never be produced again

I got the MG Akatsuki from seed destiny and the GN-X from Gundam 00 but havnt had the time and he weather has been way to hot
