Phantom Limbs
Would you give up your foot for a gain elsewhere?

Stupid topic incoming in: 3...2...1...GO!
So a couple days ago in my Psych class, we talked about phantom limbs. The case is that when a person loses an arm, foot, leg, etc. they can sometimes feel their missing limb there. Such cases have arose where people have claimed that their non-existent arm is in pain or even paralyzed. These imaginary limbs are called phantom limbs.
One case however was very weird/cool depending on how you see it. A man who had his foot removed for whatever reason, experienced better orgasms than before the foot loss. The idea apparently is that the neurons in the brain for that particular foot had nothing to do when the foot was removed, so they joined together with the neurons for sexual orgasms, thereby increasing orgasm strength. At least, I think this was how it was.
tl;dr - Guy lost foot, gained stronger orgasms.
My question is:
Would you be willing to give up a foot if you could increase one of your senses and/or brain functions?
It doesn't have to be orgasms, but anything like reflexes, thought processing, etc.
I for one wouldn't mind giving up a foot to become better in another area. Plus I could just get a prosthetic foot or something, so I wouldn't have a stump.
Just something I found interesting and wanted to share, so discuss away now.

No, I don't think I'd ever sacrifice any part of me for personal gain. I'd like everything on my body to be 100% my own.

I wouldn't want to cut off ANY part of my body JUST for personal gain, but if worst comes to worst, if I were to lose a limb, but have augmented functions afterwards, I'd learn to take thee best from the worst...if that made any sense.
And awesome Katawa Shoujo pic.

I would like to keep all my limbs as I like the feeling that a good Pedicure can offer, and I'm a touchy feely person so my hands must stay.

No thanks, I like the convenience my legs give me too much.
Not to mention all my daily working will get much more complicated every time they decide to rip open a street for repairs.

Well nerves work in a strange way. I can press a part on my back and only feel a reaction in my neck. I think that's what they're feeling when they can feel their lost limb.
I don't beleive in this stuff. Their leg is gone, it's not a phantom.

Nop, I want to be able to run both my feet through strawberry jam while being fed grapes on a vine by blindingly hot angels who are massaging my feet with questionably explicit parts of their bodies.

It may not be a phantom, but their are numerous cases where people have felt like their lost limbs are there for whatever reason. Most say it hurts there and others deny that their limb is even lost at all. It's pretty interesting when you look into it.

I didn't literally mean that a phantom has popped out the abyss and acted as their lost limbs, but I think it's half psychological and half your nerves acting up.

That actually is what is speculated to cause these cases. The cut off nerves are still up and about and the psychological effect of having a limb removed has made people go crazy for some reason. Such as a person will outright deny that their arm is gone, but when you ask them to pick something up with their "arm" they make excuses like they don't want to.
