I had a big dinner party once, but the bevrage clashed with the main dish*. we wound up drinking tap water. it was a surprise because i had had the bevrage and the dish before(seperately), and they were both good. so what ever you decide on, be sure to sample it all together ahead of time.
*[size=10]both had artificial flavors in them, and together they tatsed like band-aids.[/h]
I've only seen that happen with wine and other alcohols. What did you make that clashed?

it was a store/generic brand of black cherry cola, and a bottled sauce(probably BBQ) from the same store brand. this happened right after i quit school, about 10 or 12 years ago, so i can't recall exact names. the band-aid taste really stands out in my mind though. everytime i need a bandage, the smell gives me flash backs.
it happened one other time, i made a lunch for work. i had generic grape soda, and ham and cheese samich. the cheese wasn't real, it was cheese type product. the combo of the soda and fake cheese tasted like lysol air freshener.

So First, off Thank you everyone! Bigtime!
It was great, found a nice tree to hangout and eat under. We had chicken salad on foccaccia bread, assorted fruits/choco dipped fruits for dessert, and some sparkling cider xP. We laughed, talked about stuff, a great "pre-party" before prom :D. Apologies, i forgot to take a picture of the whole blanket o' food. She absolutely loved it, said it was cute and all. Thanks once again!
