Power ?

What is power ? What would you do to obtain it ? With the power that you obtain be it destructive or benficial would you look at yourself as being superior to humans in general ? If you had a supernatural power that put you above humans yet forced you to think and use your brain for either the benfit or destruction of mankind how far would you get in your goal. Powers like The Death Note or The Geass from Code geass for example.

And your example of Death Note fits the quote very well. I myself wouldn't want that level of power as I know myself all to well and could guess the out come with some degree of accuracy.

So you would not try to better Humanity by killing crimanals or those who have been corrupted by power themselves ?

Exactly to do want would needed to be done, one would lose them self in the process. That the meaning of the quote I stated. To benefit humanity you would end up destroying want other may not want to lose, Their in making more enemies that would have to be judged. It easy to kill people, it harder to destroy an idea.

So how would one use power to save the world ? Would it be possable to finally bring peace from the realm of Fantasy into the realm of reality

If people wanted to start working for the benefit of humanity why not start with the idea of money. We work for and kill for paper and coins that only have value because we accept it.

If you start killing criminals (as opposed to going through the process of laws and trials) you've already been corrupted by power .

So then how many people here would choose to benfit the world and cause order ala Batman/Super man style and how many would go the route of the Joker/luthor causing utter chaos and obtaining land for greedy purposes etc ?

Ya but quality matters. To me power means absolute or near absolute control over something ie when a bomb gose off or in the case of the supernatural something akin to the geass,death note or the devil fruits from one piece. These things I attribute to power and if I had anyone of these thing I would try to benfit mankid with them...I strictly mean the supernatural powers not the regular old bombs and stuff.

Power corrupts. As simple as that. No matter how well-meaning you start, it'll get to your head. It's drug worse than any physical substance.

In reality it is simply the ability to do something or act in a particular way. Everyone already has power, and if controlling a small amount of power holds to the same principles as controlling a large amount of power, then anyone is capable of directly affecting the human race be it for benefit or worse and anyone is capable of controlling the large amounts of power needed to do so. No supernatural beings required.

Power is freedom the freedom to choose between rich or poor, women or man, dead or alive power is the ability to choose anything you want with a single flick of a finger and if i had that power i wouldent be good or evil i would just have fun of course i'd think humans as only toy's if i had that power but i would never abuse it to me that is power
