Ooh i had this during my vacation to malaysia 5 years back. DeliciousQuite similar to Litchi(native to my place) in taste and look : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Litchi
Now that i look at the wiki articles they are the same botanical family!
Aren't they "Lychee"?
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lychee

I never seen or heard of this before, something else I must try.You seriously should try these!
Just watch out for the seed, a buddy of mine almost died choking on one!
It was pretty funny now that i look back on it... :P
But yes, these are some of the most amazing fruits ever!

Ahh that fruit
I remembered (don't remember when) my late aunt bought , idk , 2 huge plastic bags
of rambutans . and yes looking at it, i thought it taste bad
guess what? i ate a maybe close to a half of a plastic bag worthful of rambutans
(close to 30).man i because of that i cant even leave the toilet the next day. still
loving it though.
uh yeah for malaysians and indonesians, correct me if im wrong but the name
rambutans originate from rambut which means hair and utan or hutan which means forest, so if you change it to english it would be forest hair right?
