Random BS

One of the reasons why you hate fat people is because up until the past 50 years being fat was a sign of status/ wealth. Only way a person could become fat was because of having enough money to acquire food with minimal effort/work/exercise. As we know, poor vs rich has always been a thing. So it was perfectly ok to hate those of higher status than you because you felt they didn't deserve what they had. Which is even evident in todays society. Since it's only recently where you can be poor and still be fat. However we're still taught fat = bad.

You forget they're slow and ugly. Besides this hate towards them is at least a motivation for them to change.

You have to look at the society we live in though.
Depending on your body type and your state of mind affects what kind of weight you hold on your body. Some people get depressed and eat away their sorrows which results in becoming overweight. Other's may just eat themselves into obesity which isn't a sign of wealth it's a sign of gluttony or rather just poor diet skills.
The reason countries see fat as a sign of wealth is because to become heavier you needed to have had the resources to obtain the food, to which many people can barely afford. In some countries if you are able to have a meal at the table then you are blessed and will survive for another day hoping for another one soon. Nowadays in countries such as the US you can buy food for cheap or live off the government and get food easily and shit/unhealthy food at that. The poorer side of my family is pretty much obese because they buy all of the crap that you shouldn't eat on a regular basis, but it's cheap and easy. They also don't care about their health all that much since they get free healthcare and live off of the system, but that's another story for another day.
Anyways, people may look at fat as bad because of our fucked up ideals on what looks good, but I've never seen anything wrong with being heavy. My bf's a bit chubby and I think it's cute myself, but he's pretty active and eats as well as he can (no one's perfect). His health is also pretty good regardless of the extra weight.
tl;dr - if your health is affected poorly (health wasn't known back then like it is today), mental state on food consumption, and what kind of food your eating pretty much means that fat = bad. That doesn't mean that we should persecute people who are fat since a person is a person (fat =/= wrong), but just saying why fat isn't necessarily a good thing. I think you should be proud of your body whatever size it is, but if your health is affected work on that.

Wait, you guys actually beleive taking an old and irrelevant justification for class warfare and applying it to a situation where it no longer applies constitutes thought worth defending?
People hate fat people because of their victim complexes now. We have fat poor people now too.

What I was saying is that maybe deep down we still have that prejudiced of fat people because of that old truth. Think about it. It's been that way for hundreds of years and it has only changed in the past 50 because of the miracles of science. Maybe it's why everyone has no guilt for hating/ making fun of fat people.
As I've said. The wealthy was fat. Such as nobility. And poor people hate rich pricks that don't do any work but can get fat anyway.
If you watch a movie or read a manga fat people are:
1. Never the protag (unless he/she gets skinny)
2. A villain
3. A idiot
4. A pervert
5. Not just fat but hideously ugly.
No I am not defending being fat as a good thing.
This was just a random thought I had before but thought of again today because I was walking home after going to McDonalds after a 12 hour shift at work.

I don't think you can have a prejudicial link when the core justifications are complete polar opposites. Classic fat-hate was based on having the wealth and health when it wasn't available to others. Now it's primarily about how obesity is now a barrier to success in all sorts of things.
The trend of it is mostly coincidental, and I have serious misgivings about the idea that we're all subconsciously reliving the times of oil barons stealing all our money. If anything, that historical nugget should be empowering to overweight people because it demonstrates how unrelated their perceived health is to their success.

'one of the reasons we hate fat people...'
'Don't forget they are slow and ugly'
You didn't literally say it, but that's what it meant in the context of the thread you were posting in, so realistically, you did literally say it, whilst your wording wasn't literally that explicit

I have a high metabolic system. I can eat 5000cal and just walk a mile to keep my current weight. I can't right now so i gain some fat. Just more fuel for pounding pussy... or my limp noodle.

What I was saying is that maybe deep down we still have that prejudiced of fat people because of that old truth.Seriously doubt that today anybody 'hates' fat people because of some over 100 year old ideas and cultures. 'Hating' fat people (i think) is more about xenophobia if anything, disliking people who look different from us, people who disgust us. (I am not saying people actually fear fat people, even though i said xenophobia, just don't know how else to say it).

But i do make fun of everybody to the best of my abilities.

At what point did I ever say that I specifically hated them for said reasons?
And you cannot have random thoughts.

What I'm saying is that it might be an underlying reason. I NEVER SAID IT WAS THE CORE REASON. Look at the first sentence of my original post.
@crazynuts
yes fiction isn't reality. I'm not Anita Sarkeesian that will take a few instances of "Supposed" Sexism in a game as the basis of a whole hate campaign in the gaming industry.
I'm just pointing out a trend that I've noticed. And making a situational link. I'm not claiming any of this as fact.
LOOK AT THE TITLE OF THIS THREAD.

I was once overweight (not OBESE) and I know what it feels like to be fat, and trust me, once you get your mind on the right track nothing is impossible. That said, I used to feel sorry for fat people, but now I'm getting the vibe that they're not trying.
Overall I'd rather stay away from fat people (sadly enough 1 out of 5 people I see in the UK are fat) because they remind me of what I once was and might become if I'm not careful (my body gains weight very easily).
