Well, I have those geeky library glasses. I use to read in public but got sick of explaining what I was reading to strangers. So now I just play my DS. Am I the girl you're looking for? lolI like to stick a printout of a string theory book cover onto the novel I'm enjoying, and then showing it to the overcurious.

when i was in college in Spanish class i saw this really really shy bookworm girl with glasses the first thing i did was sit next to her i guess i was testing her to see if she shy and a bookworm she was about 5'5 and a D cup after 30 min into class i found out that you were suppose to have your book and i didn't buy it yet so the teacher said share with the girl next to you and then i found out... she was an otaku in her book she had drawings of Melfina of Outlaw Star in a very good position then she told me she draw manga also i was jumping for joy in my head but acted like i didn't know until i got her to reveal her true secret she loved hentai then i told that i was an otaku but i found out that she had a boyfriend and she was about 5 years older then me. age doesn't matter but the bf did

i guess I am a sucker for 2-d cutesy girls that are a bit of an airhead or book worms, but in 3-d interestingly enough they disgust me. Could be from a bad experience or a chain of bad experiences through out that made me allergic to these types of girls. The past girls that were book wormy type and acted cutesy doing little cute stuff now and then. Turned out that ( In my experience) the devoted ones are taken by butt holes that don't treat them very well, my friend's ex-gf was like that and ended up cheating on him cuz she attracted too much attention being cute and acting cute. Sad stuff..

I've met girls that looked like shy bookworms (some had glasses), but those girls were crazy. In my experience at least, I would speak to them once and they acted like we were married. At first I thought it was a joke, but then it got weird. From what I've seen it's a trap, but I will continue to look for the shy girl with glasses until then 2-D will have to do for now.

My ex was a totally moe bookworm with glasses. She was a bit of a sex addict too. I don't really miss her though.

My sarcastic and bitchy nature put off any guy who talked to me just because he thought I was the really "quiet/shy, girl-with-glasses" type. Some stuck around because they like my bossy/bitchy nature, I just assumed they were masochistic since I do hurt people that bother me and usually those type of people bothered me the most, so yeah.
The shy, bookworm anime girl with glasses is over rated. My best friend and I fall into this type, but we aren't the typical "tee-hee //blush" anime girls. That's just annoying. We're not ditzy, nor do we ever pretend to be. If a guy can't carry out a conversation with us we just leave him behind - we don't waste our time with him. It sounds like we think we're better than them, but honestly we just can't deal with morons who just think we're 'innocent, shy virgins' and want to talk to us just to get into our pants. My best friend and I BOTH had guys who stopped talking to us just because we wouldn't give in the pressure to sleep with the guy. It's annoying.
We get called prude bookworms and it's a day. I don't know what's so glamorous about it. Most of the bookworms I know aren't fashion forward [like me]. Anime makes them look all cute and shit, when in real life we're not. That's why you always have guys bitching and moaning about not ever seeing one in real life, but they probably have - the girl just doesn't fit his 'criteria' of how a bookworm girl should look like.
That was pretty long and this isn't really attacking any one on here. I'm just tired of guys like that in real life.

Tegumi appeantly likes shooting guy's hearts outta the sky...
My girlfriend was bookwormyish. I actually start to talk to her cause I felt "sorry" for her, like I was so high and mighty that I was trying to be her friend cause she didn't have any.
Welp, it turned out she was just a person with alot of interest, so she didn't have time for a lot of friends, but she knew how to do a crap load of things like skii, fence, business oriented, solve crazy ass math problems (she actually finds high level math FUN! WTF OMG BBQ!?!), and she loves to dance.
I told her that the reason I first went to talk to her was because I thought she could use a friend. She said I looked like the one who didn't have any friends XD.
I guess my point is they are out there, but you have to understand they aren't 2-deminsional people. They're probably not just shy/quiet girls spending all day in the library, and if you meet one and treat her as such, she probably isn't going to like you (see several post by ladies on this thread for reference)

i agree with Rayne-san. those people hardly ever exist.
on a superficial level, i fit the bill. most guys come to me because of it, but leave because they couldn't get into my pants or couldn't stand how bitchy and moody i get. most people think i don't have friends, but in reality my network is far more extensive than most people. just because i don't like small talk doesn't mean i don't have friends.

I sincerely doubt you'll find girls like the ones in most anime in general, since most of them are over-exaggerated stereotypes. Not to stomp on your dreams, I would very much so like to find a girl like that myself, so I certainly feel for ya. A guy can dream, a guy can dream...and fap ;)

I cringe whenever I a guy not be able to get past a girls outter shell were they act either stand offish or moody. Then, the next guy that tries his luck has even a worst time because you girls become cynical of us men. XD
Ladies, throw us a bone... the nice guys act to nice for there own good, you have to help the poor fellas!
