I'm considered divine by many.
Yet others would argue that I don't even exist.
You'll see me in darkness, but not in light.
What am I?

Fate, or some variant thereof, seems another plausible answer. Some believe a higher force governs things, while some people believe in free will exclusively. Also, people tend to blame fate for their failures and miseries, but prefer to attribute success and prosperity to their own ability. I personally find this answer to be less convincing that "God", since some people will see fate in both "light" and "darkness", though I suppose the same is true of "God".
God cannot be the answer simply because of the word "divine" in the riddle; it would be too obvious.

I'm gonna go with jake for the first one and say "love" and then go with whitelion for the second and say "fate"
and my off color guess for the first one, SATAN! considered divine by satanists, yet not believed to exist by Atheists. You see him in the darkness, but not when standing in light. (BTW, this is why it's not GOD. Because you could do this with any "Divine" being.)

What am I?
Answer: "ark"
Without this, you could never be born.
People can see and write it.
People can hear and say it.
It begins with one,
And ends with another.
Made up of two parts,
Yet usually includes many,
What is it?

The second one is evil.... EVIL! but extremely well written. and i just got the second one. MINSC, your really good at writing riddles. DO MORE! The only thing about the 1st one is that it needs to have a line or two more like "You see me in "Shark" but not in "Fish" or something, other than that genius.
Edit: If i gave credit to you for making them could i use these sometime?

Thanks for the feedback. It's my first attempt at writing riddles. I thought about adding more to "ark", but I wanted people not to look for the spelling, and if I added like "fish" and "shark", they would know what to look for.
So all and all.. I was trying to make it really hard.

You can use these whenever/where ever, you don't have to give me credit for them! But that makes me feel good someone would ask that.
I don't have any others written...
But I could come up with some more, if people really like them.

They are well written riddles, but I think the reference to the ark of the covanent in the first one is a bit much. It's not so much "considered divine by many" any more, and a lot of people who have not read certain sections of Jewish or Christian scripture might not know it.

Best answer is probably Silence. Though in some cases it could be Promise. Oh and a third one... "Bad English"
