Getting back on topic, I am not exactly a big fan of Apple products, but I have to admit that Steve Jobs influenced the technology sector as well as the ordinary consumers to a large extent.

Steve Jobs... he damn sure had a big hand in influencing the technology landscape. And for that I thank him.
I think his greatest influence in technology is in aesthetics and design. He stressed that tech gadgets shouldn't look damn ugly, and every product that rolled out of Apple in the early 2000's were nothing short of immaculate. His competitors followed suit. He made consumers want his products just by looking at it.
