It seems pretty solid to me, yeah. Casual, but honest. Seeking but not pressuring. Take it slow, but lay your cards on the table. Friendships are great foundations for lasting couplings.

10 months is a long time to get to know someone you can always make small talk and such and it dosn't seem like you have another option right now just try to make best of the situation at hand.
