SERIOUS PROBLEM/QUESTION
0
If the problem you are having is that they are breaking and you have to go out and buy a new pair, then allow me to suggest to you what I have been doing for the past several years. Go to Best Buy and find a good pair or ear buds. I would recommend either these or these. The reason why I would recommend these slightly more expensive models? Sound quality and the fact that they come with a shitload of swappable earbuds to customize your fit to just where you want them. Also the fact that if they break anytime within two years of the original date of purchase, just take them back along with the original receipt and they will let you switch them out for a new pair. Now why the hell would Best Buy do this you ask? It's because Shure is one of the brands stocked by Best Buy that they honor the manufactures warranty on. So you basically get a pretty badass pair of earbuds for two years guaranteed for one payment. And when you consider how many pairs of cheap, two-bit earbuds you would go through in a two year time span, and figure their cost at about $20 or so, you've practically already paid for one of the better pairs.
Just my two cents on the matter, It's always worked for me. Just keep that original receipt for the full 2 years or everything goes to hell. Take advantage of the loopholes in the corporate establishment's policy! Use them shamelessly for all they're worth! STICK IT TO THE MAN!!!

I use the AKG K 12 P for on the go.
They're in-ear, comfortable and sound quite decent.
They sell for about 25 dollars.
They've been lasting 7 years now, still going strong. But then I do like to actually treat my shit nicely.

You'll just break them again, why get something expensive.

OH FOR THE LOVE OF GOD DON'T GET SKULLCANDY'S. WHY!? BECAUSE THEY SOUND LIKE SHIIIIITT. I LIKE TO USE THE CLEVERLY THOUGHT OUT PUN OF "SKULLSHITS" TO DESCRIBE THEM.
But seriously, it depends what you want to use your headphones for and how much you're willing to spend on them for me to be able to recommend you some good ones. Eg, use them for computer/portable MP3 player use. What type of music you listen too, rock/metal/classical etc.
Every headset is designed for different needs and purposes. Obviously i need to know your needs, purposes and budget for headphones first before i can recommend you the ideal ones to best suite your individual needs.
I myself own a pair of Beyerdynamic DT 880's and a pair of Audio Technica AD700's and my headphone setup for my computer and have a pair of Alessandro MS1's as my portable headphone setup. I also have a pair of Nuforce NE-7M's and Soundmagic PL-50's as my earbud (or IEM) setup.
Actually TBH, i would just straight go for the Alessandro MS1's as they are good for everything (except for bass).

And at $100 USD that's a steal! (got mine for $160 USD a while back) Basically one of the best if not THE best headphones you could get for par $100 USD!

There is rumored to be a pair of supreme earbuds forged in secret in the fires of Mount Doom at the center of Mordor. But you must battle a fearsome drake to obtain them.
