Had trouble with the head. The V fins were fucking hard to put on, then had an issue with the binder at the back. Had to use pliers to assemble the thing.

I still got to touch up the hop mounted guns. It has some blue scattered all over the white areas so I gotta patch that up somehow.

That's an amazing job you did on this.
hey thanks [sorry I was gone for quite a bit again] I was insanely worried about the nubs since this version was hard as hell to find. Magically found it at a convention of all places.

Conventions are some of the best place to find rare and limited edition kits like that.
Hello guys, not Gunpla but, just sharing some pics and my thoughts on the Metal Build Laevatein.
If you wanna read what I think about it, click the first "spoiler", otherwise, go for the 2nd if you just wanna see the pics ;D
Spoiler:
I didn't have a good impression of Aoshima's Arbalest when I snap built it (it's still in WIP status), thus I had my doubts when Aoshima announced its Laevatein. So, when Bandai announced its Metal Build rendition of the AS, I decided to get it when I found out that it was also 1/48 scale, the same scale with the Arbalest.
Anyway, as my first MB, I can't help but be impressed by it. It's fantastic, but it also has it s flaws.
Cons:
It had a small paint chip on the forearm and small plop on the crotch. Also some parts of the Demolition Gun and cartridge had some nubs, but these are easily fixable.
The right arm is a bit loose on mine after playing, but it's not a deal breaker. Kinda disappointing that metal joints can still get loose.
The base is a bit of a let down, since it concentrates in emulating a hangar, and can't be used effectively for aerial poses, unlike other Metal Builds from the Gundam line.
I can't believe Shoji Gatoh approved that "Unimaginable Deficiency" marking on the left fairy's feather...ugghhh. Obviously, this is a personal rant. On the flip side, the marking is nicely and crisply made.
Pros:
The proportions are very nice, and pretty much spot on. (as compared to the Revoltech...)
The paint job on the AS is superb, and it feels like a finished model kit, it doesn't have the plastic toy look at all. The applied decals are also amazing, and the amount is just right.
Flexibility is within today's standards. Its hip joints can also slide down to accommodate natural kneeling and crouching poses.
It has its complete set of weapons and all of them are functional. It even has hand grenades. Also, the elbow hatches actually open up to emulate the activation of the wire gun, and of course it comes with the wire and hook.
Gimmicks can be executed very well, and can do their job (case in point: the sub arms in supporting that huge Demolition Gun)
It even has some features that the other Laevatein toys don't have, such as the opening Lambda driver panels on the default shoulders, Fairy's feather and on the legs.
Nicely done on the sentinel gundam! Hmm... I wonder if I should post my pics even though they are just High Grades. I feel a bit overwhelmed or intimidated w/ all the MGs and PGs that was recently posted.
