Well if you don't believe me I won't force the issue. Clash of opinions is inevidable in these cases especially with both sides having experience one or another lacks.Opinion and logic differ. Learn the difference.

Are you in nice mode today? You usually have little tolerance for posts of such nature. To think that this thread even got a second page is nothing short of a miracle. :PYou can't argue with derps.
Yes but you opinion and logic is not based on actual experience.

Let it hereforth be known that "actual" experience trumps logic.Logic is not flawless Mr. Spock.

This thread is super entertaining. I'm going to call all my friends and tell them to get rid of their smartphones because, when it comes down to it, you can't dial 911 in the snow with two broken arms when you really need it.

As there are wargames to prepare soldiers for battlefield I and guys with who I do these trips on occasion do a training both together and independet for as many situations as we can think of in bounds of reality.
I this particular case I let them tie my hands behind my back so I can't move them. For geting the phone out I use my feet (it actually works pretty well) the rest is on my mounth. :)

Your cluelessness is almost sadly amusing.Yes because your logic is flawed.
Do you know why they're doing field testing? Because now matter how good the blueprints are how good the logic of construction is only stamp that counts is "prooven on field".
Great example would be AR-15. Eugene Stoner was a great designer, but in battle the AR-15 (M16) had many flaws caused by many things like wrong gunpowder and propagation that M16 is a low maintnance when the opposite is true.Keeping M16 well kept and clean is very important or it becomes unreliable.
The same applies on here. You are trying to go hard headed against an experience with logic. Now matter how great logic is even logic comes from an experience.

snipThere is logic behind experience. Insofar you have only touted "experience" and not explained why (logic). Your explanation has been "just because". You have claimed my logic is flawed but have not attempted to debunk it at any point in time. You have also not attempted to clearly show how you intend to retrieve your phone and press this emergency button of yours. If it is indeed so pliable, how would you avoid "butt-dialing" your contacts on a daily basis? Where do you keep your phone so that it is so easily retrievable by your feet? What happens if both your legs and arms are broken? Are you so dextrous with your feet that you can hold the phone steady in order for your tongue to apply enough pressure to this button? What happens if the phone is on loose gravel or snow, how would you apply enough pressure that way?
You answer with a short, "Oh, I can do that rather incredulous thing" with little or no explanation, and you expect people to just believe your "experience"? Really?

I am a Martial artist I am really flexible. I keep my phone in my pocket which was actually designed for 1 magazine for 5.56x45mm most tipically the STANAG or similar. It's easy to reach yet safe from droping out. Pressing the sequence on accident is very unlikely due how the phone fits in a pocket and because that particular button is on the side of phone. The pants are SFU made by HELIKON. Black color if you wanna know. If you wonder abour winter the I use cloth layer method. To hold a phone steady is easy due it's shape even without arms. If I am on loose soil of any type I first must find a way to stabilize myself and snow can be pressured to be stable In these cases it's best to operate from lie down position. Practice in this area is based on experience it's up to you to believe or not. I am sharing my experience and results of my training.
As for arms and leg braking... That's kinda extreem probability is low. Then I must rely on my buddy as he can rely on me.

What a silly argument.
Also damn ImperialX, jelly of those HD800.
I've got a Galaxy S running AOKP myself, without googleapps installed and it's lightning fast. Without all the google stuff installed it feels more akin to a dumbphone with internet access. I like it.

I use SGS2, which pretty cheap and common nowadays, but as for me it helps a lot more than a regular cellphones, the reason is, why would you need to bring Mp3 player, camera, GPS, portable video player, laptop for internet, if you can have all of them build-in in your phone?? it's very convenient and weight like 100 gr, funny thing that phone is faster than the free-to-use PC which provided at some hotels I stayed, it's simply hilarious.
last month I took a flight to Italy for business purpose, I was sent to visit some factories which manufactured machinery for us, I stayed in a hotel in country side like 1.5 hours with bus from Vicenza, I arrived a bit late after check-in I wanted to have dinner, but then the receptionist said that the kitchen is under renovation therefore they don't serve dinner, at that time I thought well I guess I have to fasten to tonight, but then I remember Google Map (god I love this apps), I turned on GPS then search nearest pizzeria , not long it found one within 800m, so I just follow the direction, walk a bit and get some pizza to eat. What would I do with regular cellphone?? I would get lost, and the locals don't speak english at all.
and also during the trip with train I can play some psx games with fpse.

Mmm I see. I have Google maps too but so far I was okay everywhere with paper ones.
Also on FTU computers. Well they're bound to be low spec. They're usually left-overs or remanufactured old office machines with some additional software.

snipFair enough. There's logic behind that. All I wanted you to do was explain yourself.
