Edit: Just watched the video posted by J, along with the bio of the victim. Nearly cried, poor man was suffering so much.

However, to my surprise- I also found myself getting bored with the video. Not quite sure what that curious juxtaposition says about my emotional capacity.

Anyone ever seen that "Russian soldier executed by Kosovans" or maybe vice versa? I dunno if it was real or not but it looked pretty real. They have him on the ground and they just tear his throat open with a huge knife and he gargles and splutters in an attempt to scream in agony with no neck left.

Dunno bout the Faces of Death videos, only seen a couple, but apparently it's fake and real footage both mixed. You be the judge.

Whether it's real or not is besides the point.

But FoD was promoted as if it was real. It wasn't put out as some sort of Paranormal Activity thing but rather as if it was 100% real. I dunno, maybe it was handled differently in Germany or something.

Before I post anything relevant I have to ask something as I'm not sure i got the picture from reading the discussion at the start of the thread. Is Snuff material containing footage of real deaths? Or is it footage where the sole purpose is showing the deaths for entertainment or w/e?

Footage of real deaths is not snuff as long as taping those deaths was not the sole purpose of making that recording.

Then I have seen very little snuff(And what I've seen only because of friends), and can only say that I find it repulsive. I can understand the cases where real murder are shown to bring forth a reaction or show something bigger to the viewer(Such as the Burma VJ documentary). But I can't understand the fascination some people have about watching people get killed, and the fact that people watch it as entertainment. It's gruesome.
