I think I prefer girls who are a little humble and don't think they look good than those who think they're the shit and slut all over everybody.
I know it can get annoying when the girl keeps saying she isn't pretty, but look at fashion mags and the high standard everyone sets on females to look amazing 24/7, it's understandable.

I know what you mean Waar. It's simply something all women will do. Trust me I know. Anyways it's best not to say no or yes in these situations, you tell them no they think you are lying, you say yes they get upset.

Regarding the matter: the increasing frequency of the question "do I look pretty?" is proporcional to how annoyed I get. So yeah, it can get annoying.

If they are asking more, you are doing something wrong. You have to show interest when they ask the question, then give a genuine opinion, which should always be, "you look fantastic, dear", or something along those lines. It's not hard to give your honest opinion (again, "You look great!" *big smile*) while looking them in the eye, is it? Then you swoop in, give a peck, and move on. HOW FUCKING HARD IS THAT.

My girlfriend likes to look at herself in the mirror and (this is a classic) ask me whether she's getting fat. Or insist on being fat. She's got a BMI of 19.6
Not that I don't look at myself in the mirror when I get up and think "bluh, I'm getting fat", despite having a BMI of 19.0 either, the difference is that I don't say it.
We all have our little insecurities, and it depends both on the individual, and the gravity of the issue at hand, whether they will verbalize their concern. To me the occasional "yep, fat and old, here I come" realization is more of a "shucks, next!" issue.
PS: My boss also constantly raves about being fat (he's a fucking twig), and he's a heterosexual male. N-thing to do with gender, but everything with personality.
