Do you dress like a woman?
maybe grow a manly beard! people think I'm a bit camp but thats cause I'm so comfortable with my sexuality that i don't care and don't mind joking about it.
est solution make a sex tape with a girl and put it online!

Maybe their gaydars are a tad off. Nothing wrong with a different sexual orientation. I'm bisexual, and yes I get a lot of stick for it. But if you are certainly straight, and if it's annoying you. Maybe sit them down n have a long chat to say how it's making you uncomfortable :)

I had some trouble with this when I was younger. A friend of mine told me once that my open, accepting of most anything personality made me more appealing to women regardless if they knew which way I swung. Everyone questions their sexual preferences. So if your curious just take some time to reflect or visualize what an intimate relationship would be like. I realized pretty quick I would want a hot dog over a doughnut hole (no experience, just looked at porn/hentai and visualized lol). I wouldn't let this bother you, just treat the situation like you would a girl you have no feelings for "I appreciate your feelings, but I don't feel the same way". I would take it as a complement since its flattering to have anyone interested in you regardless of gender :)

In high school girls hit on me all the time and I never mentioned to anyone at school weather or not I was gay or straight or anything so no one really knew. Maybe they were just attracted to me because of how I looked or my personality, but I think its just that. Because they saw me as someone they were attracted to they sought out to go further than friends. What I am trying to say is that people don't know sometimes and they go for it because they are attracted to another person even if its the same sex and they don't know the other persons sexual preference.

Very similar background, opposite result. I've dated girls who have cheated on me and then lost interest in relationships, but I haven't been approached by ANYone. Now, that's probably because I'm a self-righteous, malformed piece of shit, but it's still interesting to look at the huge split in the story.

No. Have you ever thought maybe they think you've been into men secretly, or are just very blunt about what's on their mind?
It could also just be the way you treat them, people these days like to take other peoples actions out of context to ignorantly please themselves. Don't let it bother you. Also have you asked why they'd ask/say such things?
I do agree with what was said before though, two years really isn't that long of a time, especially if you've spent it gaming, hanging with friends and enjoying life by yourself. You don't need a partner to be happy and enjoy life, plus if you look to hard for someone, you'll just end up with people who aren't meant for you. It happens often because people will just take whatever they get first. (Not assuming that you'd do that, just in general)

Society has a horrible stereotyping of nice guys as gay. And I'm not entirely sure why.
I'm a pretty nice guy, most people would say and I'm definitely not gay. People generally don't mistake me as gay, so it could just be the way you act? In the end, what other people perceive is not a huge deal though. Just be confident in your own sexual preference.
And LOL @ your friends, because that happened to me once when I first transferred schools years ago. I was on the swimming team, so I would obviously shower communally with other guys, and as the new kid, there was one or two teammates who approached me asking if they could suck me off, when I told him politely no and that I was straight, haha. I guess sort of similar to your situation haha.

I'm pretty sure I'm not gay and I'm ni-
I'm Nic-
nice, I a-
Oh god I can't make the joke.
At any rate there shouldn't really be a problem with being a nice guy, neither should there really be a problem with being gay. Surely someone else brought this up but yeah.
I honestly don't remember how this gay stereotype came to be but for what it is, it's completely silly.

May I also pose a question that's genuinely confusing me: why is it such a horrible fate for people to mistake your sexual orientation? Would it really be so bad to be different? I'm not saying try being gay if you're not, just why should it matter if people think you're attracted to members of your own gender?
Hell, my own mother was surprised to learn I wasn't exclusively homosexual at about 15 years old, when I'd given no intentional indicators to her either way. But that never stopped me being attracted to, and romantically pursuing, women.
