So, who's looking for a job?

Didn't mean to come off as aggressive as it sounded. I just wanted him to realize Jesus's pointed of view. But it seems the effort was in vain, but at least The Economy understood.

Oh I understand, but I'm not going to sit by and let someone berate me while I'm looking for a job. I feel pitiful enough not having a job to listen to people antagonize me because of my lack of said job or the fact that I don't want to work in a certain field. Jesus may have had a point in there, but it was a bit washed out with antagonism and simply assholish tone.
If that is a personal insult to people that do not have a job or people who have a job they do not want then that's just too bad. What? I'm supposed to apologize because I don't have a job and I don't want to work in a specific field. What kind of twisted logic is that? If I was supposed to just simply recognize the point, I did. But like I said it was a little underlined by how he said it. I don't have to acknowledge everything I read especially when it is off-putting and rude. Those comments usually get no response from me or get completely ignored.

Oh, sorry, you weren't aggressive, TheJesus was. I just quoted your post to reffer to the whole situation. Sorry about it.

I've had 5 redundancies in 3 years... But that means I've gone out to find a job and not sat on the dole.
Job hunting is hard and a pain in the ass, my advice is sign up with a DECENT agency and let them give you some vacancies (they will throw them at you and the good ones will secure you an interview).
Other than that, learn Polish... I feel your pain :/

The job market really does suck. I've been searching for a job since December. Finally got an interview at the movie theater, and now I'm on The ninety day probation period. Let's hope that goes well.

It's easy to get a Job. But people just put in their application and expect the rest to be done by the place they wanna work. Then they think "I put in some many applications why won't they hire me?" I got my job in about 1 week of job hunting. Because I kept pestering them asking for a job and finally they saw that I had the drive to keep pursuing and they gave it to me. If people would put in more effort they'd have a job.
Also I've had my job for 4 months now.

Yeah, and I do dislike that part. It always seems like the opposite would happen in that they would get annoying with your constant harping, but rather that is exactly what they are looking for. I almost got a job at a supermarket a few months ago by calling them everyday for a couple of weeks, but they ended up giving up the last position to someone else earlier that day.
I HATE pestering employers. It's sad that it has more or less become a requirement for employment nowadays. Makes me feel like I shouldn't have to waste my time with the application process. You can put down absolutely nothing of consequence on your resume (e.g. no references, prior work experience, community work) all you have to do is be annoying and you'll get the job.
Oh well, logic fails in the real world a great many times.

Yep. It does suck... but if they're looking for a person willing to stick it out, I guess that's what they want...
Hey, at least it's better than those crazy cases with their parents calling in asking WHY DID MY CHILD NOT GET THIS JOB BLABLAH etc... nuts.

Related to this, I got a call this morning. I had to decline though, I wouldn't have enough time for both work and classes.
