For those who are not aware of whats going on

a Hacker grp named : anonymous

is going to take down Facebook on the 5th of November for the whole day. they said they were gonna destroy facebook. the Reason they picked this date was due to an event in U.k. (Guy Fawkes Night, also known as Guy Fawkes Day and Bonfire Night, is an annual commemoration observed on or about 5 November, primarily in Great Britain. Its history begins with the events of 5 November 1605)


so my question is are you looking forward to this or not.

what are your thoguhts

and do u want this to be permanent.

the reason i wish it was permanent is that facebook shares their users info and pics etc with other companies. so pretty much ppl we dont know get to know about us kinda of lite a stalker. so what are ur thoguhts

It has let me find people from the past that i probably never would have heard from again...but i think it is pretty shitty to be giving(or worse, selling) info to others with out consent*.

then again, i use a fake name and have no info on there. i never hit the like button on other sites either. so the info sharing doesn't really affect me.

i don't mind.

FB going down isn't the most mind-shattering thing ever. There are plenty of other social networking sites to use so people would just switch over. But since it's only one day this is going to last, then I doubt people would care that much.

One thing though, FB has made things simpler in the ways of communication and organization, for me at least, =). Like my clubs and some teachers have FB pages where they post info about things like homework or events. Posting it on FB is a lot easier than calling everyone up or texting them, especially if it's a last-minute sort of deal. I've never really had any problems with my info being looked at by companies and such, but then again why would they when I have nothing of interest to them. I'm not defending FB, but I will say it has it's perks here and there.

FB did make my life easier. I met alot of friends that i lost contact with and made my college life easier lol. It would be interesting to see what Anon is capable of. Even if its shut down, I wont have serious problems with it.

i understand ur point. what i see in college is that ppl or on that like dear diary. like guy next to me i think his taking notes, yet his on farm vile . the other guy in front of the class is updating his status. like ppl are so obbsed with it that some ppl use it like twitter . thats y i kind of wanna see it go down just to see the reaction

yup thats y i really cant wait for this since 5th is a school day. mainly i want to see ppl rage and college students actually pay more attention to college while in class than fb

nah, I'm still gonna use my phone and copy notes from ppl. I'll be prepared for it :P

Only reason i have a facefuck or twatter account is because i wanted to get a exclusive song from them.
