Yeah I had trouble with sliding when I starting to play.
Though I stopped using roundwound strings after the first string change. I've been flatwound and tapewound strings fan ever since.

Which brand do you prefer for strings? Any Ernie Ball users here?

I hate EB strings as they go dead really fast.
I'm a strict Thomstik Infeld, D'addario, DR, and Rotosound User.
My 6 stringers are strung with Thomstik Infeld JF346 Flatwounds though they are price a ridiculous $80 a set.I still have set on my Ibanez SR506 that I bough Two years ago.
5 stringers are strung with D'Addario Chromes and DR String High Beams Flats.
4 String basses are strung with Rotosound Tru Bass 88's also expensive at $44 though they last for years. I still have a Set on my Fender P-bass that are a least 3 years Old

D'addario, I bought the stainless steel one that has extra protection against rust for my acoustic guitar. The durability is prime and the sounds were really sharp, even when played on a cheap guitar, that's when I figured out how to tune it properly though.

Oh sorry man. It was about the guitar strings. I don't know very much about the bass one but I think it's really good.
@Slayer : Check this out, eargasmic bass

You're improving real fast, this is gold compared to your first few covers here, keep up the good work man.
But a few tips; you should crank down the treble and turn up the presence and bass a bit on your amp, the crunchy sound might be nice and all but there is hardly any bass in there at all, now that might be the quality of the recording messing with the bass sound, but you should at least try it.
And tune your bass, especially your A sting from what it sounds like on this latest vid.

I need to get new strings for my bass. It is going flat a lot and I figure it must be the strings since my bass was tested out by people in the store so the strings have been worn a bit.

Yeah, changing strings is always a good idea, especially if the bass was stringed when you bought it and you haven't changed them yet. The strings that come with newbie basses like this, or with more expensive basses for that part, usually suck, and you don't know for how long they've been on the bass anyway.
Ugh, This reminded me I have to re-string both of my basses and a couple of my guitars. <_

make sure your strings dont die easily... i saw my friend used weak strings on his schecter (forgot what was it and i was inside the recording booth) and it really did die... evident on the straight cut on his hands...

I never knew EB had a dubious reputation like this. Thankfully my nickel wound Extra Slinky strings has been reliable so far.
I don't even remember what strings I have on my 5-string bass. But then again, I almost never use it anymore, so...
edit: @Slayer Nexus, I just noticed your newest cover. Your tone is hitting all the sweet spots in my ear, good job man! Love the song choice as well.
