Personally, I think Ghost's cover of ABBA's "I'm a Marionette" is better than the original. I think the tone of the cover is much more fitting for the song and gives it new meaning in context to what the band writes about.

This was back in American Idol a few years ago (yes, I watched it back then). Anyway, this guy who covered John Lennon's Jealous Guy was superb, though shorter than the original. I do like the original version mind you. There's just something that made the cover fantastic.

The original is catchy and I like it a lot, but Daughter gives the lyrics a depth that I feel they didn't have previously. I love how resonant the guitar is, and the bassline [although simple] is really awesome.

Not sure if there are any Rancid fans out there but LIGHTS' cover of "Fall Back Down" is absolutely breathtaking. I love acoustic renditions of most songs.
