Starshark's doodlebook
1
Scored myself a new tablet since the old one was practically dead. So I've finally got the motivation to doodle more and post them up.
Newest additions will always be at the top.
I removed a bunch from earlier this year, the pieces can all be found on my art blog.
If I post any fanart and you'd like to use it for your avatar/signature/whatever, you're welcome to, just credit back to me.

Taableeets \o/ asfd you dyed your hair turquoise? ahn. I'm crazy scared that my tablet's second usb-port will break too, after that I don't know what I'll do T.T They're soo expensive örz Though I don't know if it's repairable and how much would that cost.
OT: moar please.

Yeah, I meant to dye it a deeper blue, but the bleach didn't take 100%, so it came out to be kinda teal in some areas and blue in others. XD I gotta wait a week or two and put another layer of just dye on it, see if that helps.
Actually the tablet I got is a Monoprice, and it only cost me about $50. It's an 8x6, and it's just as good quality as Wacom. It's a little touchy with installing the driver, but once you've got it set, it's a dream.
OT: Yes I will be posting more. XD Working on commissions as well so that's taking a while.

Ad yeah they recently started selling a whole variety of equipment, including tablets, and from what I hear the tablets have Wacom innards.

Haha I'm so familiar with hair problems. Good luck with that! My motto with hairdyes: You can always dye on top of it.
About the tablet: =o really? Have to check on that. A bit skeptic about the sensibility though. As far as I've tested, non have responded as well as the wacom intuos 4 that I have. You've had to "push" the pen, some times more sometimes less, for the tablet to sense it. With my intuos it's immediate.

Well if we're comparing to the Intuos then yeah, Monoprice has got nothin' on that. But compared to the Bamboos and whatnot, they're better size for a better price and still are of just as good quality.

Hmm, all of them pens use batteries ... kids + stuff with batteries = 1 day usage
Maybe I'll try out the cheapest one and test it =) Thanks for the link ... love those nibs under 1 dollar pack XD

I love the last one :) (the headless lady)
Edit: What lack of constructive critique?
But here's some: The anatomy is working, proportions look nice and the thick line suits it in it's simplicity. And you handle it well. Maybe just me, but there's something about the right thigh/torso part that makes her leg look somehow kind of flat. I think it might be because the thighs upper outline continues so far into the hip. Buut this is just nitpicking really, moar please.

No you're totally right about the line of her thigh going up so high. I realized that later but just couldn't be assed to fix it.
Please keep the constructive critique coming!
Also posted new art.

Your crusader's left eye is a bit small, and the headless one's left leg seem to be bigger than the right one.
Otherwise, your works are great. I can't comment on the color combination, though. My internet is filtered and they posterize most of the photos.

Thank you for that. And that sucks about your colours. D:
