If it's to gain something unrelated to their disability/illness such as material items then it's pretty sad. But if it's something to benefit them in fighting their disability/illness then they should go for it - I think it is disgusting how things such as hearing aids and glasses have to be paid for.Hey hey, how are free glasses disgusting?
What I meant was I think it is disgusting how people are made to pay for things such as glasses and hearing aids - they should be provided free by the government for people.
Lol I completely misread that. But with the proper medicare plan, you can get glasses(not too stylish) and hearing aids for free.
Yeah I didn't word it very well. It is true that you can get free glasses and hearing aids, as you said, with the proper medicare plan, but I do find it strange that on one hand you can receive these medicare plans, and on the other hand also have the option to pay for expensive glasses/hearing aids that vary in price range, which therefore means there are hearing aids better than others. In my opinion the best should be provided for everyone, but that's never going to happen; if we bring a Marxist perspective into it we have the bourgeoisie (the rich people) enjoying private health care, with the proletariat (working class) shrouded in a 'smokescreen' of what they believe is to be improving their lives to the fullest extent.
