TCF November -- What's Taters, Precious?

Neruku won September's contest, and for the theme for this month, she picked the humble, yet very versatile...
*Iron Chef announcer voice*
POTATO!!!!!!
She chose this because they're cheap, available all around the world, and tasty. I agree!
As always, here are the rules for the contest:
Contest officially starts now, November 1, 2011 and ends 00:00 PST (GMT-8) on December 1, 2011. No entries will be accepted after that time. Voting starts whenever I wake up on that day and will last for five days, after which we will announce the winner. Winner gets mad props, rep from me (and from others?) and the chance to choose the month after next's theme.
There you have it, so stop spuddering about, grab your peelers, and go cook some potatoes!
(Edited to unsticky)

Shit. I want to participate in this one but I don't even have enough money to buy dinner, let alone potatoes and other ingredients ;_;
I'll try tho.
