List of worthy opponents Pacquiao may face in the future ...
- Mayweather
- Mosley
- Berto
- Timothy Bradley
- Sergio Martinez
- Yuri Foreman
I read an article on the net hinting that he may retire soon.

Probably because he's scared.Don't blame him though.

I'm don't think he'll retire just yet though, one more fight then maybe he will. Whoever wins the fight this May will fight Manny.

just got back from Joe Louis Areana; Detroit. Boxing match between Andre Durell and Arthur Abraham. Uncercards were crap, place was rocking, fight was amazing all the way up to the 11th round. Then Abraham made a huge mistake, smoked durell with a right hook while he was on his knee. Ended with Durell winning by Intentional Foul. Really disappointing ending but great fight.

Man, I'm still wizzed by is choice ot enter politics. I mean even if its just representative status,..... he doesnt really seem like the type to enjoy arguing political incentives.
And yes, Pac-Man dominates. Always enjoy his fights.

Gratz to Mayweather for an awesome fight. Sugar Shane your hesitation in throwing combos and just jabs made me sad. Wish you fought him when you were in your KO'ing prime.

Hey guys, I really enjoy watching boxing and I want to try boxing in a few months when the summer arrives. I have only background in BJJ so how would an 18 year old newbie stand out in a boxing gym? I have no idea what to do. Are classes like...go in, warm up, box/spar? Thanks.

Depends on the kind of gym you are going to, there's commercial gyms like golds and serious boxing gyms. Bring the usual things you bring to BJJ (towel, water bottle, mouth guard, and etc) and find your self some 6 ounce gloves. You wanna work them in so they won't be stiff. Also bring a speed rope not sure if there are some guys that will let you lend them theirs. Have fun!
It's not really a class where you learn in a group. The gym usual pairs you up with a trainer for a few weeks and teaches you the basics and conditioning routine, it will include sparring later on. After you get the basics down pact you're own your own. Not sure if you want to compete seriously usually trainers will let you known about amateur bouts in the gym, just ask.

Alright thanks. Right now, I'm in it for the conditioning and simply because I have an interest for boxing. Thanks for the reply and info.

one more thing iast. I'm sure your trainer will tell you the same thing. Do fist push ups in a good form don't worry about speed, it'll help out with straightening out that fist to be in the right form. If you're not careful about your form you'll break your wrist or throw weak punches.

Thanks for the heads up though, now I know that that is good advice when it comes from more than one person. I'm currently looking to invest in a heavy bag and gloves for home, is everlast a good brand to trust for equipment?

It's widely used. Just make sure you have a sturdy place to install it or invest in a stand and hold in it place with something heavy. Have you went to the gyms yet?

I'm going to a gym the weekend following this one to inquire about fees and if they have trials, etc.
Would placing the heavy bag against a steel column be okay? I don't think my parents want me to mount a boxing bag on their ceilings.
