I have to say something. Heath Ledger was a perfect Joker. His acting was suberb, and to way he did the Joker's random spasms of anger and twitching fit in the role of the Joker well. I still say the comic Joker was better, but I think in the terms of movie actor villians, Heath Ledger is the most badass you can be.
See, even though he died, he'll be remembered as the most badass villian in the history of comic.

i like how when the joker gets beat up how he always laughs and smiles.... even when he fell from a high building... the scar thing was a great add to the joker making a beliveable cause for insanity. 2 face was a suprising add to the movie

In my opinion Heath Ledger as the Joker is the best movie villain every. I like the more cynical Joker rather than comical Joker. The scars on his face really did add to the character. Although my favorite thing about the movie was that it was basically one giant elaborate Joker plan. He was two steps ahead of everyone, it was just awesome.
Best movie of the summer and maybe the year.(If nothing good comes out for the rest of the year)

Heat Ledger's Joker was my favorite movie villian, and the comic's Joker my favorite comic villian.
Also, I think how Heath acted schrizophrenic(was that spelled right?) was perfect.
Like the Trickster says "When villians want to scare each other, they tell Joker stories"

My God this movie was fantastic. Best Superhero movie ever so far! Best Joker ever, not just in live action, but comic book as well. Damn.

I loved The Dark Knight just because of the Joker. Heath played him the best that I've seen so far. The Joker is my favorite villan and I'm glad he was played out the way in my mind the Joker would be like.

I loved that movie.
But then again I've always been a huge Batman fan since I was a kid too.
And yeah, Heath Ledger was great, very funny and creepy all at the same time. It makes me sad that he's gone...

I don't want there to be a replacement for him! Just make Joker die before teh 3rd movie! I don't want Heath's version be shattered.

Why did Heath have to die? He was the only man I would have turned gay for :(
Haha, jk, but seriously, it sucks he won't be able to continue his badass legacy of bassassery.

its unfortunate that heath passed away, but he left a legacy with a hell of a final preformance. has anyone else heard this? sorry if its already been stated, i didnt browse the entire thread.
apparently, both heath ledger and jack nicholson were having serious psychological problems while filming their respective movies. nicholson was losing sleep over the role and the mentality it reformed, so he was perscribed sleeping medicine. but after several nights of taking them there was dire reprecutions, ive heard that he woke up one night on the edge of a cliff in his car. anyways, while filming the dark knight ledger was having similar problems so he decided to contact nicholson for advice. he told him specifically, 'no matter how bad the insomnia gets, dont take the pills they presribe for it.' heath ended up sucumbing to the lack of sleep and took the pills, alot of people believe it was the probable cause of the overdose, and therefore death, of heath ledger. thats essentially why when asked about ledgers death, nicholson replied 'i warned him.'
