The Dark Knight

I haven't seen a batman movie in like 10 years, I don't even rememeber what one that would have been.

The movie frankly didn't make any sense, and didn't follow "reality" very well. I'm willing to give a ton to super hero movies (like not ask questions why cyclops doesn't just become a perpetual energy machine), but this movie went way overboard on the nonsense. I could barely stand to watch it. My girl friend felt the same way.
This "heroes are the anti-Hero" thing is getting old. The emphasis on the amazing joker was so high, when he barely got any screen time at all compared to the other lead characters.

twas entertaining but mediocre
6/10 rating, 7 if being generous and considering how nothing else of greatness made it into the cinemas lately
a couple of good lines (but only for the main characters, srsly, they would have better omitted all those cannon fodder interjections) one good joke (pencil anyone?) but still...
nicholson will always be the true joker, although this one did have a better makeup

Wait, not to be rude, but are you just judging this movie based on the fact tht you like Nicholson better? I mean, I agree, they are(were) both great Jokers, but could you elaborate why you don't like Heath as much?(could it be that a entirely new look was brought to the Joker? or his anarchy like looks?)

Why did Heath have to die? He was the only man I would have turned gay for :(maybe he was studied and performed the joker character too deep and that character have been disturbing his mind just maybe... cause i think that his Joker was more freaking than jack nicholson's joker

It was a good movie. But the only flaw that I have noticed throughout the film is... Batmans's ragged voice.
When he's Bruce Wayne, his voice sounds smooth. But when he changes to the Batman, his voice becomes... well, not suited for the Batman.

I've got a question for myself I guess. I was watching it again the other day and I couldn't figure out what it meant in the whole context of things when Batman chooses to save Rachael versus saving Dent. Even though he ends up with Dent, I don't think this was intentional and just a little mindtwisting that came because Joker misled him with the two addresses. Anyway, to get to the point, doesn't that make Batman kind of a jerk who didn't really think of the city's best intentions first?
My conclusion with the whole thing is that it's okay for him to be selfish, which he was, because it just shows he's human and not perfect. But it still leaves a little bad taste in my mouth for such a perfect movie.
Thoughts?

I'd give it 9/10.
It's one of the few movies that didn't dissapoint me after all the hype it got, and the Joker was bad-fuckin-ass.

Ok, so I'm probably a little late joining this party, but I just watched Dark Knight today. To be honest, I'm not normally a movie person because I don't have the urge to see a lot of hot upcoming movies, and most of the time when I do see them they disappoint me.
Anyways, The Dark Knight was freakin' awesome. I didn't even see Batman Begins, but Dark Knight was so good it made me want to see it. Heath Ledger played the Joker brilliantly. There is no way anyone can come close to playing him as well as Ledger did. This movie gave me the feeling that the new Batman movies were a mix between The Matrix, CSI, and James Bond. Some of the technologies he used might have been a little overboard, but it looked so good it didn't bother me. 9.5/10 for this movie and one of the only superhero movies I really loved.
