So I got to watch this movie today... And I was satisfied with it. It borrowed lots of elements from the original and they re-emagined them to fit into the current generation.
What I also noticed is that I was laughing through the humorous scenes (which was a lot, by the way) and was feeling the love in the dramatic ones.
Jaden Smith also proved that he isn't just some rich actor's kid that got the role through their parents. He proved that he can actually act, though he could work on his romantic scenes.
All in all, this was a very satisfying movie. It's the Karate Kid for the current generation.

This pretty much explains everything; I saw it a few hours ago.
The movie aspired me. Anyways, at the end of the movie, I was the only person clapping out of around 30-40 people.
I can't believe around 6 people ganged up on him. How old are they? 15+?

Wierd, it always seems like my crowd is always too lively in my theaters.

Jackie Chan is all. But seriously, I was expecting the evil master to attack, prompting an even more epic fight between the two masters.

And the whole master vs master, disciple vs disciple thing is cliche in kung fu movies these days.
except for manga's History's Strongest Disciple Kenichi, where master vs master and disciple vs disciple is the 2nd main focus of the story.
The 1st is how Shigure will get to sleep with her disciple after chapters of repressed sexual tension.
