The Most Disappointing Gundam Series

And going off topic a bit, why the hell is it so hard for Bandai to come up with a 1/144 HG Destroy Gundam, huh? Thye have a damn 1/60 NG Force Impulse, but nowhere is there a 1/144 Destroy Gundam. That would be a bitching model to put together!

I hate SEED Destiny for reasons already listed here, so I'll add in something new (and prepare to get death threats for it).
08th MS Team
For years, I heard people talking about how great this series was, how it was the best Gundam series. What did I get when I finally watched it? Characters I didn't care about, a lackluster Romeo/Juliet story, and almost no action.
Granted, the formula for the majority of the series is one I hate - stand-alone episodes. Some series can make me overcome that hatred, like Ghost in the Shell and Cowboy Bebop, but this series couldn't. After watching an episode, I had no reason or desire to watch the next one. If I want to rewatch the good parts of the series, all I have to do is watch the first episode and then the last two or three. If I can cut out 60% of the show without missing anything, something's wrong.
I guess the root of it is, it didn't give me what I wanted from a Gundam series.

Why does everyone hate me? QxQ I tried my hardest to keep the fans happy since they kept wanting a sequel and more stuff from the series. I thought by using what made the first series successful would keep them all happy. I tried my best, I really did, but it was so hard to try and come up with something new. I thought by using old stuff I would give people a nostalgic feel to the series and make them happy. I also though making more drama would make the story more exciting while throwing in more action Gundam sequences to really pump up the fans. *sniff*
Chris Crocker: Leave GSD alone!
But seriously wtf? Couldn't they have just made 10 episodes of defending the peace and new alliance from the terrorists, instead of starting another war from the terrorists? Why did they have to instead make a whole series about fighting eachother again with almost exact same outline as the first series? I mean SEED was a pretty good series, I liked it more then the boy band Gundam Wing series. I just wanted a short series that actually concluded SEED series, not lengthen it out and fcking waste my time. I only give Bandai props. for making some decent new models to keep me entertained and making some of the fight scenes really badass. Overall though I can't sit down and watch the whole series again. I can do it with SEED but just not with GSD.

I dislike the Gundam Seed series because of the overall rip offs they did with the other Gundam series, but the girls and women in Gundam Seed are A-Ok on my book.

Gundam Wing is the most disappointing series. Why? My reasons for hating that chapter of Gundam history are too numerous to list. Mainly I hated how new factions came out of nowhere and for no apparent reason, how Zechs was such a blatant ripoff of Char as to defy good taste, and how everyone decides to just throw away their weapons at the end of Endless Waltz because war is bad.

At least the ending is better than Gundam G where Domon Defeats the Devil Gundam with A "HEART BEAM"

Majority says They HATE GS and GSD. But i think These series are better than Gundam G, and
I prefer the boy band Wing(at least it is more realistic)than Gundam G.i mean they just took any shape and put a gundam head with it And the Story is kinda CHILD LIKE. NO HARDCORE WAR and Hardcore plot. and most of all it has the most Corniest Gundam Designs Ever(not all).

Bobing, I can see your point, but I personally think G-Gundam was pretty good for a non-UC series. I've gone back and watched it a few times and I certainly have problems with the mechanical designs and especially the cheesiness, but I'll probably watch it again this year.

As said, I can only speak about series I've seen. Haven't seen G Gundam, so can't say anything about it.

Giant robots + shining finger = win

It's not the worst for me because it's some kind alternative in Gundam anime. This the only series in gundam where real robot become super robot. Hokuto no Ken style.

By the way, G-Gundam is the most politically incorrect Gundam show ever. Examples include Neo Mexico's space colony being a giant sombrero, having Shadow Gundam look like a Nazi Soldier (It's from Germany), and having Argo Gulskii be a prisoner. If you don't understand the Argo part, Russia had the highest percentage of it's population imprisoned of any nation in the world around the time G-Gundam aired.

G gundam...just the designs itself shows how bad the series was. This was when I decided to watch Zoids instead.Agreed, although my favorite series was gundam seed

I disliked Gundam seed the most, it always seemed like they were always talking, not enough battle going on :/

Character development is almost non-existent in SEED Destiny which made all development from the SEED cast a waste of time because characters like Athrun lost everything he learned from SEED in SEED Destiny. Therefore making the show in it's entirely stupid and a waste of time. Plus every other pointless plot device, battles, you name it.

G Gundam is a great series if you don't think of it as a Gundam series. It's DBZ with giant robots. It does what it aims to do very well, which is show great action and red-blooded heroes kicking ass.
