Tips to keep yourself safe from robbers on the road...

Thanks for the tips, it sounds crazy that people would attempt that but then there are crazy people out there. I am actually more scared of them breaking into the house more than anything. In my country in the suburb where I live there have just been a recent incident where a whole family was murdered while they were still asleep>.<(dad+mum+2kids) and police still cant find the culprit...
When I was young we got robbed once (luckily we were on vacation at the time) and they took everything. We had informed more than 3 neigbours to keep an eye on the house while we were gone and they were still able to break in through the tiny window in the toilet (approximately half a meter by 1 meter)and make away with everything from TVs to fridges._.

Either that is made up... or fucked up... Not that I don't believe you, but how'd they get their hands on your fridge? wasn't your neighborhood on the lookout?

Yes they were and my uncle would check the house everyday but they broke in on the last day before we arrived back home. Once they broke in at night it was only a matter of opening the front door and garage to get everything out. They must have done it quiet enough so nobody would wake up...=.= luckily we were insured though so we got to claim certain items back (not the excate same model but things of roughly the same value)

I got almost rob in my house once. At the time I was leaving with my parent. I work at night(same work in the present), so I sleep in the day.
SO, I got awake because of some weird noise. First, kind of lost and not fully awaken, I was thinking maybe my sister was there, but why that strange noise?
So I got up, get out of my room and see a arme trough the window of the front door.
My instinct got me to yell and run at him. He was surprise(didn't think there was anybody home), and run away.
When I open the door and step out, He was nowhere to be seen(He myst run like hell, or hide somewhere). That when I realise I run outside, without a weapon(I could have been shot or stab by him...from the look of the door afterward, He have try a crowbar first), and what more? I'm outside only with my pantie.
So I fix the window(not broken, but kind of hard to explain), and get inside to call the police.
He was caught later in another robbering, of my next neirboor(the same day) who have an alarm.
So, robber can be anywhere. They can use stealth and trap, weapon, rape you, etc. We leave and a dangerouse world!
Note: My instinct hijack my body when something like that happen...it will get me kill some day. And I don't want to die virgin!...well even when I will lost it, I will not want to die^^'(too many think to do, to see, to many doushin to come!)

I nearly got robbed once but it was an entire fail. When the robber broke into my house he waked up my dog moji. Moji barked then I woke up I grabbed my "home defense weapon" (a gun and a knife held together like the one in mgs3) I turned on my lights to see moji attacking the poor fellow on the ground. I kicked him in the head and knocked him out and then called for pizza (9-11) the cops arrived and the end.

Wont you just risk dying yourself by merely getting out of the vehicle and standing/walking in the middle of the road... and who knows, it could even be bomb.

I think most people would assume that the baby seat is just trash that someone dump on the road. Well that's what I'll think if I saw one. Hell I'll probably won't notice it as I usually try to keep my focus on the road.
This reminded me of a story that my coworker told me. He was riding with his brother in a car when suddenly an arm robber showed up in front of them, pointing the gun at them. His brother, who probably panicked, just stepped on the gas and went on. The robber got knocked over and they don't know what happened to him as they didn't stop to check on him. >_<
