Typing Skills

I was up and about one *********day afternoon when I noticed something horrible. Everywhere I went, people were typing looking at the keyboard using only their index-fingers. I nearly puked my face. Finally, I ran out of McDonald's and went immediately to Fakku to cry about it.

Thought typing was a skill everybody had.

So, can you type the proper way Fakku?

Typing this message with only my index fingers took me longer than normal.

Pretty fast and slow. Few can type as fast as a normal typer.

I thought index finger typing was only something done by people who rarely use the computer.

Everyone who uses the computer daily/weekly should get the hang of blind typing quite easy, using most of their fingers.

Well first off the employees at McDonalds have pictures on the touch keys. So basically if you want a cheese burger, there's a picture for it and they just press that therefore only using their index fingers.

Do I know how to type? Yes but not as fast as Kira Yamato.

I type something like 100 words a minute.

I think teenagers nowadays are quite familiar with PC.

As for me, I can use 9 of my 10 fingers when I type something, and relatively fast too.
the only one I rarely used is my left thumb. :D

I could actually type pretty quick like that. I never noticed the way I typed, I had to post this thread to realize it.

I don't think I type the proper way, I think way back when I took a computer typing class my teacher constantly yelled at me for not typing correctly but I always finished first so I didn't care.

I've known how to key since I was like eight, so yeah I like to think I'm pretty proficient in it. Not sure what my GWAM is though.

I'm pretty used to using all my fingers while typing. I may not be very fast but I'm satisfied with what I can do.

fool! i learned that in middle school!(i learned how to type in a week) the noobs got no skillz, that's like asking if i can use chopsticks or not the right way! XD lol (no offense to the noobs ;D) though i never use my right thumb. i'm right handed. i use my left thumb to tough the space bar.

Typing with just index fingers is hard T_T It's also not very hard to learn how to type, when I was younger I learned how to type through MMOs. After a while of playing MMOs, I realized I could type decently. At that time I could do around 350-400 wpm, but now that I don't use proper technique it dropped to 200 words per minute/hour.

I can type around 100 wpm + thanks to Mario Teaches Typing. I have a secretary to do my typing but I have never asked her too... I probably should but it seems so easy that I just do it myself.

I type with only my index fingers. :/

Never used my pinkie, but pretty fast, especially in programming. o_O
