The first round of the Kimbo fight was fun to say the least. Kimbo took Mitrione down how many times? 3 I think. It also showed that Kimbo either was too small to control other HW's effectively or that he hadn't improved his groudn agme substantially.

Koscheck was just a beast and it's unfortunate that couldn't finish Daley. What Daley did was inexcusable; shoves and trash talk post-fight is quite normal but a punch with power? Fuck no!

However, I was disappointed with the main event simply because it was finished too early, I wanted to see a war with a decisive finish not a beatdown which I feel was brought about by a grazing punch

That choke he had on Barry was great...I like how at the end he says "His neck said choke him...so i did"

Yeah, it was nice seeing Cro Cop having fun like that.

After the fight it was revealed that Barry broke a fist and foot in the first or second round.

Is it just me or did the CropCop-Barry fight felt like totally WWE-scripted?

It's not that unbelievable. The last time he rocked a guy and went to the ground, he got tapped out.


edit: omg, Silva is training with Steven Seagal for his upcoming fight with Sonnen.

Whole card was great!

Sotiropoulos, man what a beast on the ground. I was impressed with his standup too.

Bonnar wins, standard back and forth brawl.

Brock gets hurt in the first round, but manages to weather the storm. 2nd round, he gets a takedown and slaps on an arm triangle to win. Man, that was an exciting fight!


Akiyama and Leben both get rocked, brawl it out. Akiyama gets top position in the third round and Chris throws up a triangle for the win. Man, what a fight.

UFC 116 got among the best lineup of matches with great comebacks after a worst beating to a well done finish ^^
