Wow, those looks awesome.
When I go there (one day, one day... ), I know that I'll start collecting those... and feel uber motivated while working, lol.

Seriously? XD now thats how we should do cons over here. Instead of vendors it should run by... well vending machines! And man some of those prizes would be at least 30 bucks over here

The UFO catchers in Akiba suck...a lot. If you look at the metal ends on the arms, you can see that they bend them down a little. It's so they more easily drop what they are picking up. If you want to easily win, go to Kiyose or Tokorozawa. I've won so many figured from either of those locations. I'd win on my 1st or 2nd try. Akiba, you'll easily spend 1000 yen to get a single prize. The larger it is, the more you'll spend. It'd be easier to go to the Yellow Submarine building and just buy what you wanted to win. Sometimes, cheaper.

If you follow me on Twitter you probably noticed that I was recently in Japan (it was amazing). I'm planning to do a bunch of posts about all of the things I did over there, but until then here are some pictures of some the UFO catchers in one of the many Club SEGAs. It seems like there is an arcade on every corner in Akihabara and they are all pretty awesome. You spend money in Japan to eat dem good foods bro, seriously.
Or you spend money on a crane game to get food, only in Japan have I found crane games where your prize is ice cream.
Did you try the super crazy 5v5 gundam war games? I was too scared personally seeing as I can't read that well.

This makes me want to move over to Japan right now. I might sell all my possessions, quit my jobs, drop out of school, and move over there. I might get lucky and find a job like Brittney did in Ramen Girl

I remember ignoring those UFO catchers for a bit to play Gundam VS.
Then I saw Figma Lily Signum and Lily Saber in one of those machines.
Aaaahhhhhh......
I lost 50 USD equivalent that day....

Curious and Wondering
Now that's cool. UFO catchers, only if you catch something. I tried my hand at those at a local arcade called TimeZone, the claws were too feeble and loose, it was a money vampire. Was able to get a few sometimes, the trick is to have the luck that the claws land and get the part of the prize that won't slip when the claws raise it. Like figure heads.
