US comics or Japanese manga?

power overwhelming!! As a kid way back on 90's~98 we are collecting marvel comic like xmen and spiderman, on 99 we discover anime's so we shift to manga LOL!!

Manga.. I've never really been into comic books.
Some of my all time favorites is probably Ranma 1/2 and Rurouni Kenshin.. at least of that I own.

If I knew about manga I would have read it earlier. I did read some comics though when I was young but manga is better.

To be fair US comics are going through a bit of a revival right now. I'm reading Chew, Saga, Locke and Key, and of course The Walking Dead and I would recommend all 4 in a heartbeat.

[size=12]I love both. Read some of the green lantern series (Darkest Night too) Read some Batman and Justice League. Modern Avengers, Ironman and Deadpool comics are awesome too. As for manga...I've read too many too count. I can't even keep track of their titles. But I love cooking manga. omnomnomnom[/color][/h]

Manga. No doubt. American comics suck ass by a large majority and if anybody here likes that shit over manga, they should get the fuck outta because they have no taste in good books.

i love Japanese manga because of the wacky situations some characters are in
the us comics are just too long which is why i get too bored on the first page

I prefer manga myself, however my brother prefers US comics.
But me and him have been at odds with everything since as long as I can remember, but still it is thanks to this that I read some US comics from time to time.

I find manga is easier to get into where as comics of certain series have too many spin offs and are harder to find what I want and takes longer to get through a story.

i prefer manga mostly for the art and the fact that ive never held a real comic book in my hand, except for once (i found all the bright colours gave me a migraine), as for my favourite...id say Love Hina (could fakku try to get a hentai version of it?)

I dislike the tendency of comics to maintain their status quo for the sake of farming their fans. If it were not for that, perhaps I'd like comics more. Thought the arts is another major turn off, too...

US Comics. In general they are more characterization oriented and Japanese manga are more plot oriented. And I'm a sucker for likable characters, which US comics tend to be full of. Both are good and I regularly read both, but I gotta go with US comics.
Also generic comic about how asking for preference here is a bad idea just because of the subject matter of the site.
