I have read a couple of American comics, but it diddn't fall into taste, while japanese was on a whole other level... I'm just happy started to read it :) else I would have missed out on so much.

It's a really hard call for me, but if I had to choose just one it'd be US comics. I grew up on them so they have a special place in my heart.Well, my pick is US comics too, but the reason is quite the opposite. I haven't read nearly enough western comics. I have finished and followed a bunch of manga, but I've had too few U.S. comics in my hands.
I seriously want to read superhero comics, but I live in Finland so every American comic isn't even brought here. Or maybe I need to look harder.

Manga for sure. I dont like the panel size of comic books and the pictures confuse me sometimes. Also the main characters are usually superheros and dont support the "Slice of Life" theme at all.

Grew up with manga, so manga all the way. Could never get into comics. ;x

I guess it's manga for me. I have never actually read a good comic but I'm always open to change my opinion when a good mindblowing comic comes along :)

Well, For Western Comics, I personally like Spawn.
but when the first time i read manga ,I was instantly hooked to it.
because of the story and since it has more genres to offer.

manga. for me, manga has a lot of different characters and if there ever was one character that's really popular it stays on 1 author unlike US comic that seems to have X amount of authors per character. if there was a manhwa option though i'd still pick manga. it's a bit tiring to read manhwa's with extra thick space between panels - it just interrupts my reading flow somehow

                        I love manga!
But the new MLP Comic is coming out soon, so I might have to leave manga for a while ;)

Japanese manga. I read far more manga than I do comics these days, though the ones I do read I enjoy quite a bit.

I guess I would have to go with Manga (Both Japanese and the recently introduced to me Korean Man-wa). I grew up on American, Canadian and European comics (who didn't) but in the last decade, except for some of the better Indy titles out there (Strangers in Paradise, Gold Digger, Spawn, TMNT) alot of the mainstream books just feel more like a "connect the dots" without true story or character development like what you get in most Manga....Plus, I can relate better with the characters in my favorite stories....
