japanese manga! My fav would have to be Rurouni Kenshin, it was the first manga i actually got into

Hmm... Comics, while cool, lack the variety that manga can provide. While most American comics provide rich and fullfilling stories, Mangas tend to do the same, but with more bulk. Rarely, do i find a comic that isn't about superheroes or something similar, whereas mangas can have geners such as shounen, shougo, horrow, etc. Also, im pretty biased being on this site AND that i never grew up with comics, but rather manga.

I actually grew up on manga instead of American comics, so I have a natural preference for them. I tend to be just as picky with the art style with manga as I am with American comics though. But as a rule of thumb, if it has mecha/giant robots in it, I'll read it.

i'm sorry to say but i like both, but if given a choice i'd say manga cause there is more to read in one volume than one issue in a comic

I am 99% manga and 1% comics I guess - "bad" influence in my childhood I guessNow there is the question for the day.
(Love your tag line)
I enjoy some of the old Marvel Comics back before all the rewrites and Secret Wars alternate universes etc. ad nauseum. It seems they have lost what really made them what they were.
Maybe some of the Manga and Mangwa has as well but I haven't seen as many of them to know.
I simply prefer a good story line plot and character development even if its hentai etc.

Manga most assuredly for the most part. If we are talking about stuff like Spawn then also American comics. But for the genre in general nothing beats the way Japan does graphic novels.

I prefer to choose Japanese manga becasue I like their drawing style annd character design such as JoJo's Bizarre Adventure.

                        I love and support both
but since that isn't an option
...I'll go with which one I read more...so manga, but in all honesty that isn't fair. Manga is more diversified. With a few exceptions (Archie Comics come to mind) most U.S. comics are heroic men and women with superpowers fighting crime.
Although I love a lot of comics turned into animated series. Original Animated Batman anyone? Teen Titans? Spectacular Spider-Man? More recently Young Justice(SEPTEMBER 29th!! *fanboy squeels*)

i used to like USA comic, but with their constant changing artist and various storyline of each heroes, it become harder to keep track of which storyline fall in with other storyline among the heroes.
i'm certain you've all seen 8 different version of Batman and there a new version of Batman. then there superman. wat? 20 different version?
then there a whole make-over of the current heroes, especially Wonder Woman. But what would be more interesting would be if they actually made doujin of the American female heroes. wouldn't that be interesting?

honestly both.. i like to read my transformers comics, and i read some mangas (case closed, shin chan, etc)

if I were really to choose I'd say "Italian comics" like Zagor, Mr No, Corto Maltese, Tex Willer, Dylan Dog, Mitico Capitano Mark and so on...but I'd say japanese manga, for no particular reason

I'm kind of ashamed for knowing so little about American comics when American comic movies come like 2 or 3 times a year here, IN UHMURRIKUH!
I've only seen about three because of the guilt. I used to watch Spiderman and Batman's animated series back in the 90's but they're all a blur to me now.
Now, my attention span only lasts for moe-stuff.
Manga.
