Vegetarians UNITE!
Vegetarians?

I actually considered becoming a vegetarian, today. As I stared at a bag of Doritos, tempted to eat them, I thought... "Why is there no healthy food around? Maybe I should go out tomorrow and by fruit." (Not that doritos constitute meat, they just aren't healthy). Lately I've been changing up my lifestyle. I haven't drank anything other than water the past days. And I was also considering changing what foods I eat, nothing oily. Because of that, the path of a Vegetarian seems appealing (though there may be some oily foods that Vegetarians eat).

Lacto-ovo vegetarian here.
I had fried rice, tofu and a delicious veggie burger today. Quite tasty, nothing fancy.

It really depends on what oil you use if it's plant based like olive oil sesame oil soybean oil canola oil ect. It's fair game. and it's one of the best decisions I've ever made. I feel like I could do anything anymore. The initial hump of no meat is hard to get past, I've not had any kind of meat or fish for the last 3 months or so.
Edit:
But I'm not saying you should become one, you have to sit down and think to yourself, is this right for me? Chances are I'll one day go back to eating meat but this has been like a total Detox for me. I feel better, I've lost some weight, and I seem to have more energy anymore.

Well, congratulations on that. Lmao, wow. Three months or so. That's quite the accomplishment. Especially for someone who has been eating meat for at least sixteen years (I say sixteen because I take it you're at least that age. Lots of underaged users on the site lol). But yeah, that certainly is an accomplishment to stop doing something that you've probably been doing most, if not all, of your life. So kudos to you for that.
Also, thanks for the tips on the oil situation. I'll take that into mind when it comes to making my choice. And though I may start to eat much more healthier, I may have meat every now and then. Haha, so I wouldn't be quite the vegetarian in that case. But who knows, maybe I'll give up meat... I'll consider it. Again, it's something I'll consider and have been considering.

Best thing I can say is if you do use oil to cook use olive oil, it's a bit pricey even at it's cheapest but then it's one of the better ones to use.

While i'm not a huge meat eater, honestly i couldn't see myself being a vegetarian. I mean, i like fruits and pasta, but sometimes i just want some meat.

I always wondered how long it takes before you start to feel better when you stop eating meat. That and does the smell of meat lose it's appeal? because if I start hating the way meat smells then I don't know if I can do it. But if I still like the way meat smells then I don't know if I'll be able to resist. Catch 22.

I've tried for a short period and it just doesn't work. Plain veggies dun last, starch gets me bloated quick. Strong urges for meat comes in afterward.
I also grew up in a society where almost every dish has to have some meat in it. Being a vegetarian is like being an outcast.
I dun eat a lot of meat, but when presented, I will help myself to some.

Since humans are omnivores I see no reason to neglect meat. Hecht, what else can give me a huge dose of animal proteins and fats, that my body requires, on daily basis, in one bite?
Also... give up on milk!? Cheese!? No thanks.
