Wearing lolita to prom?

First off, by lolita I mean THIS not...y'know.
Anyway, I occasionally wear lolita to meetups and whatnot and I absolutely love it! I just don't know how people would receive it.
I was thinking about wearing this but in black and obviously prom'd up (So a nicer blouse, black tights, heels, and my hair up/curled).

I'm sure people will think it's weird, but I'm known for being a huge weeaboo, and I've worn casual lolita at school before. So what do you guys think?

Only brand dress I have is wonder cookie (with the apron) and I'd feel like a waitress in a maid cafe >/////<

If you look even remotely good in a loli outfit do it.

I've went to a couple conventions and nerdy meets and everytime I personally met a girl wearing loli it was like straight out of the deep sea, If you know what I mean. That's a pretty horrible thing to happen for me so often because the fashion in general is pretty hot. So if you're into camwhoring hand out some good pics to ease my suffering. The knowledge that at least somewhere else someone does it right helps.
