I would like to play (since it looks exactly like Vanguard, but alot better) but no one is playing this were i'm at. Mainly because of the price, they say.
I wonder if/when the Steins;Gate set will hit NA.

Although still as much of a luck-based game as Cardfight is, it's a lot more fun. Plus, deckbuilding is harder; it isn't like Cardfight where over half the deck is automatic.
I don't think Stein's Gate is in WS at all. It may be in Chaos or something else in Bushiroad. When it's in one card game, it's usually not gonna be in another.

On the West Coast of USA. I usually leave my skype on.

Oh, i was mistaking Chaos for WS....
But yeah, there is almost no room for creativity in deckbuilding in vanguard, which greatly maginfes the luck factor. Plus it doesn't help that some clans are plainly better and more advanced than others....but hey it's something to do, and it's fun enough.
My card shop is selling madoka and fate/something starters. I'm itching for the madoka one....but WS seems like a dark road for my wallet to go down

Same here, I'm on the west coast, too, though this late at night is probably not a great time.
I play an SAO deck. It's fun to me, no matter what other people think. And even though it's a well-explored set, so the "best deck" (lol, "best deck" in such a luck-based game) is already discovered, I continue playing it my own way, to better results than others.

That was something that irritated me about Cardfight. It not only left very little room for any creativity, it PUNISHED you for it, especially in newer sets.
Madoka's a fun set, and an easy one to build decks from. Great for people just starting.
And you're right about it being a dark road. If you start playing this game, you'll realize that you hate money.

That card game with cards from Various Animes, right?
I will say, it has gotten my attention and interest, but sadly my wallet's under pressure and I don't think anyone else in my area is interested/can play.

I'm with most people here. I need to start collecting more, especially for the iM@S deck that I need to finish, but with my budget tight around this year, and buying boxes for hosting weekly drafts for MtG, it's hard to find time to get into other TCGs.

Before getting into this game I thought it was a card game that people played for series they liked. In the end winning is more important, so most people just try to get a hold of whatever is winning tournaments or considered OP. I have played since August with my friends and stopping by locals every now and then. I'm also learning how to play Chaos, VS, and PreMo as well!

i should just die
WS is kind of expensive for me (I don't like buying trial decks.) so I'm a pretty slow player, mostly forgot how to play.
Anyway I use a Nanoha A's deck. Mid-way constructing a Love Live! and a Nanoha The MOVIE 2ND.

How shiny are your decks? Mine isn't a lot but I'm satisfied with what I have. (though I'm secretly planning on getting the rarities. :X)

I would love to foil out my decks, but of course, that takes luck, or sometimes just a bunch of money. Especially those signed cards @__@
Especially for Love Live. The foils have alternate art that are oh-so-lovely. They are just beautiful, I just wanna collect all of them (despite them all being 30 bucks minimum for even the less expensive ones).
At least, extra sets are easy to get foils, as (I think) one is guaranteed in every pack. I'm also making a Fate/ Illya deck, which I may be able to foil out at some point.

Just bought both the ENG Project Diva f and Bakemonogatari trial decks. Anybody got thoughts on them? I notice the first is mostly about abilities and supporting each other, while the second is purely building up for a good attack spree.

You're right in that it involves bursting to get one character large, but it can be easily countered, especially in the trial deck.
Bakemonogatari, on the other hand, is fairly powerful, since many of their cards requires Experience, and there are strong synergies. However, I don't know anything about the trial deck.
Were you planning to buy the sets themselves? It greatly widens your options, as the trial decks, while a good port into learning how to play, are very underpowered.

I have Angel Beats deck (Kanade build). Not all holo but quite max already. Searching style.
And, I also have Milky Holmes deck (KoKoRo police build). Also good enough. Power style.
Here's the pic of my Milky.
And the cute sleeves

At the moment, I'm just learning the game and getting used to the turn flow. I might buy the sets one day.
Tbh, however, SAO and Fairy Tail have my eye. However, SAO was sold out and I didn't see any sign of the Fairy Tail cards. :/

Then, that's fine. All trial decks are simple enough for anyone to learn the game. And besides, they're still constructed well enough to be useable.
Sword Art Online's trial deck was TERRIBLE, but the set is pretty good, and aesthetically pleasing. In fact, I used it to top 4 a regional tournament, and could've been at Nationals. I'm surprised you haven't found any English SAO, though. I thought that was abundant. Japanese SAO is now rare, however.
Fairy Tail is incredibly hard to find nowadays. Only one person I know has it, and he's not selling. Even vendors can;t find it, a lot of the time.

One of my friends is a big-time Milky Holmes fan, and has enough cards to make every single build. Police, Detectives, Phantom Thieves, you-name-it.
Ah, god, the Kanade build is good. Nothing ever dies if you set up your field right, because they all become powerful, and they all have Encore effects, so you can Encore them for low cost.
