On my PC desktop I once got a keylogger back when I used to play WoW, lost my account and everything. So I got a mac and I haven't had anything in the slightest since then.Yah because Macs suck so much that no one bothers with it.

I have had so many virus infections in my computer when I only used Windows... Eventually, I learned to deal with them without antivirus software.
In the worst case, I had to boot my computer with UBCD and remove the virus from there, since it gained the control of OS. =O
In the best case, I was capable of analyzing most MSN virus only with a virtual machine and some monitoring and snapshoting tools. For a pair of flash-spreading virus I made some 'vaccines', because of my friends spreading them.

My first infection? You guys are si-, wait... Well, back in the days of XDCC and IRCll, I ran across a fake file that was far too small to be the actual size of the file it was supposed to be. The limitations of compression unknown to me due to my inexperience at the time, I ignorantly opened the file and had an infection. Removal of the infection was fairly simple, it wasn't malicious but rather for a joke.
Shortly thereafter I learned a lot about compression and safe surfing habits, what a coincidence.

A Local Virus, named Brontok
Had 3 PCs wrecked when there was no removal and recovery tools made. My whole high school Computer Lab and even the faculty computers got the same virus. It was the worst Virus to have hit my country.
But after someone created the removal and recovery tools, it's now obsolete.

What Kai said and some international ones like Trojan. Once my friend got a virus called Blue Fantasy.

Hmm, the worst that happened to me, in the way of getting your system fucked over by virus, was when i had failure on several different levels that lead to all my dll files being fucked over... ALL of them, so no nice install drivers or dependent exe's, it blew out the ass. I did get my important files before i reformatted.
other then that... not really if your only counting viruses, however assholes is a different story.

You stupid sacks of shit have actually let your computers get fucked up? Here is some awesome advice to avoid shit like that from occurring. Check all links before opening them. Never download anything, and if you do, scan before running it, no matter the source. Overall, don't be stupid.
Fucking Christ. I am being serious here. I have never suffered through a virus, trojan, or anything. I guess I'm just perfect. >_>

Had quite a lot. But the worst was, autorun.inf worm virus, or so called winzip123 virus. Its a horrible virus that multiplies itsslef and whatever usb connects to the computer the worm spreads to there. Imagine your computer system full of worms that slows your computer to stoneage. It was horrible.
Luckily i found this program that saved me from these billions of worms that multiply over time.
The program is called Noob Killer by Leerz, you can get it here. http://ocxt.multiply.com/journal/item/125
Id recommend checking it out. Its a useful programs that can get out the weirdest viruses. If you have a virus that cant be deleted by your anti virus. I suggest using this Noob Killer :D

I think it was this one virus on my laptop that caused almost (if not all) of my system files to become corrupted. After restarting my computer and trying to restore, I found out that all of my restore points had been erased by it too. My only option was to restore my computer to factory settings. :/

The worst i've had in the last year was some trojan disguised as a anti-virus program. i also encountered a hacker a couple months ago.

Run NoScript for FF and you'll prevent the majority of drive-by infections.
For me I've only had one major virus and that's about it.
For those with tons of infections it really comes down to good browsing habits. No matter how good an anti-virus is it can't stop the piece of flesh behind the keyboard from sending their money to a Nigerian prince.
