Kara no Kyoukai by Nasu Kinoko. Always in my favorite list. Too bad there's no English version though.
1984 by George Orwell. For some reason, I love this book.
The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy by Douglas Adams. 42. That's all I have to say.

I have a Few there more the fantasy Genre but not all. anyway they are:
Inheritance Cycle by Christopher Paolini. Books of the cycle so far: Eragon, Eldest , and Brsingr. There were originally going to be 3, but the author could not finish the story the way he wanted in 3 so making 4. Of which to my knowledge is currently writing the 4th and final book of the series now. Oh and if you have seen the Eragon movie but not the book read the book and become pissed at the people who made the movie for murdering the book.
The Twilight Saga. yeah, yeah, so much damn drama over the damn thing but depending on what type of books you like it's a really good series.
I've read the Harry Potter series but not in my top favorites.
If you liked Angels & Demons then you'll also like Dan Brown's new book that came out recently called "The Lost Symbol". Really good book, Loved it. Recommended to anyone who like's Angels & demons, The Da Vinci Code, and books that are similar.
The Cat Who... Series is also good. it's by Lillan Jackson Braun. Murder Mystrey genre.

Rage of Angels - Sidney Sheldon
My Sister's Keeper - Jodi Picoult (yes, there's the movie but still, its best to read the novel!)

If it was books, I'd say it be the The Taking by Dean Koontz and The Jester by James Patterson and Andrew Gross.
As for series, waaay too many to count:
The Obisidian trilogy, by Lawrence Watt-Evans
The Halo series
The Starcraft series
The Merlin series, by T.A. Barron
The Ender/Bean series by Orson Scott Card
The Lanen Kaelar trilogy, by Elizabeth Kerner
The Dark Materials trilogy, by Philip Pullman
etc. That's all that came to the top of my mind, and I mainly read a lot of sci-fi/fantasy books, but I've developed a recent liking for fiction novels (even though they're really trash).

My favorite is "A Man Named Dave" by Dave Pelzer. I don't know if it qualify as a novel but... Oh well. It practically tells us the story of Dave himself who have a very interesting or should I say cruel life.
And then I also find Sherlock Holmes novels interesting, especially good ol' The Hound of the Baskervilles. Classic but it offers good mind traps. Other Sherlock Holmes novels that is my favorite are The Valley of Fear.

I loved the Abhorsen trilogy as a kid. Very imaginative world that blended real world and olde world magics and stuff like that.

Noli me Tangere and El filibusterismo- both are works of Dr. Jose Rizal, call me weird but i really like this two novels. It reminds me of lazy class days of my highchool life.

The Inheritence Cycle by Christopher Paolini, if you like fantasy, these are the best fantasy books ever written, I highly suggest them.
The Foundation Trilogy by Isaac Asimov, truly a great read by the genius who is Isaac Asimov, some of the best Science Fiction i've ever read.
Child 44 by Tom Rob Smith, a mystery book that takes place in the USSR under Stalin, the main character is part of the KGB, Stalin's secret police, 10/10.
