What do you call "Friends"?

My true friends are the people i smoke kush with.

Someone I met in while out walking or while resting in a park. Simple chit-chat and quality time together whether it be playing games, cooking, watching tv, etc etc.


Simply put: Someone I didnt meet on facebook/Myspace/Twitter. I don't count people on a friends' list to really be friends.

Pretty much this. I would say I have a good amount of acquaintances, but not a single friend. My definition of friend is pretty strict.

I've never had a friend, just a bunch of acquaintances. I don't know what requirements would be needed to call someone a friend. The definition probably doesn't exist in my world.

For me, Real Friends are those that are ready to shoulder your sadness when your down, accepts the way you are, the ones that brighten your day, ones you can share your secrets with, etc.

We still don't know if we'll gain more friends as our time on earth passes by, but let's hope so :').

buddies are people i talk to rarely and mooch off of and friends (to me) are people who I can have a real talk with and know me well. like one of my friends i know talk to me about goverment and how its fucked up and theirs another who i can talk to about girls, hentai, manga, and ... well lots of stuff. (hey when you find a friend that talks about hentai, good ideal to keep him/her)

Mmmm I guess i have a lot of buddies but friends it hard to said i doubt it a lot.
Right now i am hanging out with new people (5-8). A few I can call friend but the rest I doubt they think of me as friends. I guess we are buddies.

People who are my friends knows the real me.

I think i should start to look for more friends then buddies i have to many buddies.

Friends are people I would donate my organs to, yea I’m real selective. Basically my friends are people that accept me, for who I am, people I can be myself around. Few people belong to this category….

I think i heard this from a movie, but i can't remeber, 'there are only two people i trust in this world. one is me and the other aint you'.

Speaking of this, I hate people who say "lol you're all my best friends" or who call everyone they know their friend. Get some goddamn standards and stop being such a phony.

Back when I was younger I had people I called friends but grew apart, since then i'v had people i'v thought were friends only to be betrayed, so I really only have people close to friends but not quite there. Its lonely not having someone who you trust, afraid to say something only to be left alone again.

My childhood friends are as close as you can get friends~(They are my lifelong durr or whatever is the most important) other than that anyone else I havent really known or been with in school long enough to call a friend for life or anything like that~ So I've had alot of "acquaintances" you can say~

Like many said~
Friends=People you get along with~ have interests hang out and such
Good friends= You tell them things and trust them
Lifelong friends= Your like soulmates or something like that~ or it can fall in the "I've known you for 10+ over" category~ Probably really close~

My friends are the kind of people who make me laugh and bring the best out of me.
They are also my pillars of strength. They are always there for me and will not insult me. I will protect my friends with everything I have.

For me, it all relies on how I feel with them. I have lots of friends, but just as "friends", I already feel the closeness that is found in what you'd call "close friends". Which would mean that my actual "close friends" would actually be extremely close.

It's more of a gut feeling that I rely on for when I consider people as "friends" or "close friends". An internal, emotional measurement of something that cannot accurately be measured.

i consider a friend a person who is willin to put their hands in fire for you, someone who understands the strengh of one's jokes (personal or not), someone who you spend time with and unthoughtfully want to be with them, someone who you have somekind of connection that may be hard for others to understand

I really don't consider myself worthy of having friends anymore because I betrayed a couple of friends because of their animosity to the company I'm working on. I just consider friends as "comrades":they can betray me or treat me badly anyway they want as for I will consider this as my eternal punishment for me to atone to the treachery I've previously done.
