Kind of Important
A ray of Tsunlight.
Mobile Suit Gundam: The 08th Mobile Suit Team.
My favorite by far. Cause instead of the Newtype rape machines (e.g Wing Zero) Running around easily crushing everything it comes across (Aside from other Gundams) This series is focused on the mass produced generic Gundams, more realistic, and a good series.
Other than that, Gundam 00 is amazing.

my fav would be ARMORED CORE
cause the story kicks ass , '' really unique '' , everyone seems to like gundam, , the thing about ARMORED CORE is that not many ppl like it or now about it , therefore making it unique , and simply badass.

Macross and FMP are both great series that I just can't get tired of re-watching. Let's also not forget Nadesico and Patlabor, two great gems that are entirely too forgotten these days in my opinion.

For mecha, I'm going to pick Gurren Lagann and Eureka 7.
Why you ask?
Gurren Lagann had a lot of really great story line and cheesy goodness to pull you in. Plus the mech combining aspect was really cool and the fight scenes were great. Not to mention they had Yoko with a big gun.
Eureka 7. Story and characters. But the winning part had to be the surfing in the sky. That's just plain cool.

Super Robot Wars.
Always have been, always will be.
Reasons because?: Well its just some of the most epic explosions i've ever seen.
Not to mention the supers they build are all by Seishin definition, Invincable, and full of guts+.

My favorite series Mech or not is Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann. My reasons for saying so is as follows. It's characters where to me where spot on perfect to what they needed to be to make the show work. It's fights never failed to impress. It's story was compelling. It made me cry every time I watched "certain episodes".Words only from a true man!

My number 1 favorite manga is Red Eyes drew by Jun Shindo. It's about by a man named by Miruss or Miles (the English translated it to Miles I think when I read and download from stoptzamo) who is known as genocide or slaughterer since he could wipe out a whole battalion by himself. He was later betrayed by his comrade and sought revenge, searching for them one by one.
This manga had a unique mecha or could be said a power armor like the one in Dino Crissis 3 except more reinforced and cool, it is known as S.A.A. S.A.A is like miniature wanzer but it doesn't look like a robot. But this isn't the greatest feature the manga show, it also feature more human like like the expression of fear, pain, the effect of the war and so on. Note: This manga also show some level of violence and gore.
For those who want to see some comedy and fetish stuff, try to look for Love colleague.
you called me?...XDDD
anyway...my favorite manga is RED EYES!...as the name said by my username...and explenation has been given by the guy in my quote...
as for series I choose ALL of the UC Gundams...because they're the base that took the new gundams...never liked the new gundams except Stargazer and Astray...
as for super robots..I choose SUPER ROBOT WARS!...
the mechs...
for gundams I choose Nu Gundam and Hi Nu Gundam...
for real robots I choose Aura Battler Dunbine...
for super robots I choose DXX XAM 001 DYGENGUARD or as people say DAIZENGAR....
I like all of them because of the story and the game + the caracters...
that is all...

Right as of this moment my favorite series is actually "Kino's Journey". It's refreshing to watch a show that's so philosophically based with such a strong and independent female character. Despite the fact that I'm posting on Fakku, I prefer my female leads to be a bit more conservative in nature, and Kino perfectly fits the bill.
The series on the whole feels like a Japanese anime version of "The Twilight Zone", just with one main character. There isn't much continuity between events, but every episode proves to be fascinating. It really got me thinking about stuff. That doesn't happen too often with anime.
