This is gonna sound weird, but I actually like the RX-78s, but only 4-7
RX-78-4 G04 Even has a Hyper Beam Launcher, even if the thing ended up destroying the Suit.
RX-78-5 G05 (So Original in Name huh?) Has a Hyper Gatling Gun, plus, I just like the fact the two Gundams Mirror Each other. Their Beam sabers are also the same color as the Gundam they are in, if you couldn't tell/ thought it was just part of the backpack.
RX-78-6 Mudrock was supposed to be a Combination of the Gun-Cannon's Fire Power and the Gundam's Mobility, but it was given to a crappy Pilot and decommissioned before it could be finished. If you notice, it only carries one beam saber instead of 2, and would probably be a Constant Hover Gundam, going by it's heavy armor and the large thrusters attached to it. This thing should have been a beast, and it was on paper, but something just didn't click on it.
The Real sadness is this thing, RX-78-7. It was barely completed, and wasn't even given a proper Name, but in Sheer Size and Firepower, it made even Mudrock look like a Chump. It's generator output is 1760 kW, over 200 kW higher then the Hyper Launcher Equipped G04, and it is equipped with a multitude of powerful Weapons and thick armor. It's interesting to note there are 2 different Versions of this Gundam, one was the Original, a very large-framed version here:
Which had 2 Armored Versions, One was the FA-78-3 Full Armor, which, due to the excess energy of the Reactor, which would have been boosted to 1850 kWs, still moved just as, or almost as fast as the basic version, but added Beam Guns mounted in the Arms, 4 Missile Silos, and a Super powered Beam Rifle.
And, quite possibly, one of the most terrifying Gundams I've ever seen, the FHA-78-3 (Don't ask me why they put 3, it is the Seventh Gundam.), which held not only the Inspiration for the Orchis, but also probably heavily influenced the ZZ Gundam. It's Generator Output was almost Doubled in sheer Size, at 3350kWs, in comparison, the Original Gundam worked on 1380 kWs, a little over 1/3 of that power. And this thing could STILL move just as fast as the Base Version, due to the addition of multiple sets of extra Thrusters. (No Spoil Tag because, sense this is my favorite, I might as well show it in my full post.)

This thing took everything from the previous Version, and just about doubled it. It added another Missile Silo in the Left shoulder, that Giant Cannon has it's own personal Thrusters, along with another Missile Silo, and those two things on it's hips are two Beam Rifles as well (One looks like it's attached to the shield, but it's not). It also has 2 Beam Sabers, but with that much firepower, I don't think it needed them.
They Made so much stuff for this version, It couldn't even HOLD it all! That's just incredible. You wouldn't think something like that could even be fast, but it is just as fast as it's Base version
However, this Gundam was made by Kunio Okawara, and when it was deemed to be included in Mobile Suit Gundam Battlefield Record UC 0081 (Which should have launched in Japan on Sept. 3 of this year, but no word on an English Release), they decided it was a bit out of show, so Hajime Katoki Redesigned it to this:

It's not the same as the 7th, and it doesn't look as cool, but you can clearly see that it's part of the Gundam series like this. Note the Shield is actually attached to the Shoulder, not the Arm, for some reason.

Wow, you're really like RX-78 series don't you?
I like M-MSV design of RX-78-7 and it's upgrade better than it's refined design for Gundam 0081 game. It's looked more cooler for me.
@LoliHunter
RX-78-1 Prototype Gundam is black-white colored. As seen on this picture
Or maybe you talking about the early concept design of Gundam? Like in this pic:
from left to right: Gundam, Guncannon, guntank in their early concept design; Gundam is more 'colorful' in those design.

Penelope is right, Black-White was the original Prototype (The RX-78-1), but the original Design was the Goldish-blue (No Offical Designation, but you could call it RX-78-0, if you absolutely had to have one).
So neither is WRONG, it just depends on if you are talking about the original Idea (Blue-Gold) or the Actual Finished Product (Black/White).
And not many people like Mudrock for some reason, I don't know why, maybe the color scheme turns people off ("I'm a Heavy Assault Fast Combat Short-Long Range Mobile Suit!" "Why are you Blue and Gold if you are a Sneak attack suit?"), or maybe it's just not cool.
@Penelope
The RX-78's Series has always been my favorite, because you can always see them even in the newest Gundams (0 Gundam looks like an almost exact copy of 78-2), and because they were the Originals. I like a lot of the other types of Gundams (Exia, Nadleeh, Cheribum, Z/ZZ, to name a few), but the later 78's are always going to be my favorites. It just shows such an evolution of a concept from the Original Gundam to the 7th and uncompleted 8th Gundams, even though the basic frame is the same.

Zeta Gundam for me. Loved it ever since I played SRW F. Runner ups would be ZZ Gundam, DX with G-Falcon and V2 Assault Buster. I lean towards mechs with heavy beam weapons back then (00 changed that :P). Though not a Gundam, special mention would be Pixie from Omega Boost.

OO Gundam, or specifically the OO Raiser Gundam. On Trans-Am mode, the speed are ridiculous and not to mention it also have certain useful abilities from it's GN particles. Practically speaking, it's hyper long range beam cannon that can be used on Trans-Am mode is kind of an unbalanced weapon that can destroy mostly everything from a ridiculous distance. And it's design also rocks.

Wow!!!!!!!
But for me I would go with this two.

Wing zero custom.
Destructive and a work of art.

Astray Red Frame.
This is one cool gundam

I love Elpeo Ple either...She's very cute... too bad she must died... TT^TT
Remember, Gundam ZZ is also has Biosensor like Zeta. But Judau's newtype level is lower than Kamille, making his ZZ true potential wasn't released at all. But I still like Zeta more than ZZ because its Waverider form is very badass! Waverider Crash, FTW!! ^_^
And don't forget about Gundam F91 which has Biocomputer. Made it a fair opponent against Trans-Am equipped Gundams. ^_^
My biggest problem with her death is that it had no real emotional impact whatsoever. The main cast just shrugged off the fact that their dear Elpeo Puru had kicked the bucket to protect Judau. Also, it was a little retarded how Lina just happened to survive after the build-up towards her 'death.'
On another note, Judau has been noted to be the strongest NewType, though it is quite debatable. Still, he was able to do the same things as Kamille, including the Sword of Rage and Biosensor Field, which left the Full Armor ZZ Gundam untouched when dealing with a powerful MA such as the Qubeley. However, Judau one-upped Kamille by projecting his image with his NewType ability and even made Haman, a high-level NewType, fear him. Add in his NewType-powered Hi Mega Cannon and you've got yourself the strongest NewType around.

Yes the second one....
__
And nonononono i doesn't like mudrock because of guncannon's cannon...
it made the gundam looks like move slow...
i kind like a "human" form of mobile suit than "super-man" form...
i mean just like zaku's, GM's (except GM canon)... because they used trigger gun not attached one.. (ike freedom, etc)
@Blaze:
well, i think is... Judau can strong because he get help from kamiyu...
not active help but passive help via psycho wave...
as you can see when judau "met" him...
_____
well..... that what i like from UC... one death means nothing in war....
just like Gyunei who shot down by amuro but only made quess a little angry for a bit...
but still i hate it "Why is that cute loli girl must die!? argh!!" kind of expresion

Oddly, I liked Exia the best. It sure took some time for that thing to grow on me. (Loathed it originally)
There's just something about settling your differences up close and personal with big shiny swords. I know the G-Gundam universe was also big on close combat, but I think Exia's GFS specifically designed against GN shields was what did it.
Who the heck uses swords in this age of funnels, DRAGOONS and shield bits anyways?

WHY Isn't there an option for ALL OF THE ABOVE?!?
T-T I really cannot decide since Gundam was like the best thing I've seen since I was exposed to it.

For some reason I like Gundam Kyrios best because of its Shield/Heat Blade, Alternate Mode (eerily remiscent of some other MS I don't remember the name.), and because its pilot, Allelujah/Hallujah Combined are like even more powerful than the innovaters.

Kind of Important
A ray of Tsunlight.
Heavy Arms. can solve all problem with mini-guns. And it gets better later on (Heavy Arms Kai I think is the name of this one.) I always remember it more from the movie then the series itself.
