Hmm, now I wonder what exactly my desktop computer would get for a score if my laptop got this.

My WEI score is retarded. Let me show you just how retarded:

Needless to say, I don't trust the WEI to accurately rate a computer. I refuse to believe my lowest scoring piece of hardware is my 32gb Corsair SSD, especially since it's rated on disk data transfer rate and not storage capacity.
Funny enough my second gen Intel X25-M is only showing up as 5.9 considering it's one of the fastest SSDs on the market I have no idea what's going on.
Edit: here's mine.

My processor and Ram are old as hell. I'm currently using a socket 939 motherboard with DDR RAM. OC'D the dual-core processor from 2.2 to 2.75 GHz which made the processor score jump from 5.1 to 5.8. RAM is OC'd from 400 to 460 MHz making it jump from 5.1 to 5.5. Using a GTX 260 which is overclocked modestly showing 7.3/7.3. I wonder if graphics would improve if my board supported PCIe 2.0.

Trying to decide whether or not to go for a 6-core AMD or for an i7 930. Basically its deciding whether triple channel memory and hyperthreading is worth it or not or to just get an AM3 board and use 1 less stick of RAM and save a lot of money. I've seen its basically easy as pie to overclock either to 4Ghz so raw power shouldn't be a problem. Also heard this generation AMDs are chilly compared to Intel's because their X58 chipset is basically a space heater.
It'd be nice if I could future-proof it but it looks like Bulldozer and Sandy Bridge will both be using different sockets so its not going to matter. Most I could do is use DDR3 memory it seems. Leaning towards the i7 930 for now but don't plan on getting anything for a while.

Pretty good for a year and a half old laptop, imo.

Somehow my Graphics and Gaming Graphics both increased from 7.0 at the previous test to 7.3 after the most recent one. I would upgrade my Intel Core 2 Duo but the fan is such a pain to remove and replace. However, I love my Radeon HD 4850. I've had it more than 2 years and it handles everything I chuck at it.

7.4 on the desktop (held back due to my RAID 0 SSDs; otherwise it would be a 7.8).
5.8 on the laptop (held back due to the HD; otherwise it would be a 6.4)

Ok, I don't really hate my new PC, but I really need to get a decent graphics card... any suggestion on getting one? (I've heard Nvidia will work like a charm on my desktop xDU)
-Also: Can't freaking believe that my 3GB DDR3 scores this low...

IT MAKES ME RAAAAAGE

I am a bit of a ATi man myself, but the GTX 460/470s are nice cards for the money. I do also think that the 5870/6850s are nice as well.

I've heard from a tech support guy before that my PC won't be accepting ATI graphics, but I'm curious on why?
I think it's because all my PC is manufactured in Intel chipsets (processor, motherboard, etc.), that's the most logic reason I could think of...
And ATI are pretty cheap here in Central America, so if my PC can accept it, I'll buy one...
Thanks Kurumi xD

It should accept any card if the card is able to fit in the socket. Whether you are able to hook 2 or more together in SLI(Nvidia)/CrossFire(ATI) is dependent on the motherboard.

Your IT guy is bullshitting you.
Unless you're rolling SLI then running a single ATI card box on an Intel chipset is perfectly fine.

Ok, screw HP/Compaq support guys >.<
Well I'll be installing a nVidia GT240 on my system, and for my surprise when I was checking my PC I realized that I have only 180W in my power supply, so I guess I'll have to upgrade that too...
HP/Compaq guys over here sometimes are retards without proper training, I really hope I don't have to go over them to some advice on my PC, xDU.

Probably a driver update for the graphics card bumped the score up.
For me i'm stuck at 5.9 as well due to the hdd. everything else is above 7. ASUS G73 ftw lol.
