I usually am looking down cause it is so weird when you and another person look at each other at the exact same time.

When I walk, I tend to look forward, even when I'm drunk. I like to look around if it's a nice day, but I think its important to pay attention to what's in front of me.

If it’s sunny outside and I am not wearing sunscreen (always) I look down. But I also enjoy looking around and smiling stupidly at random people. If I’m walking around at night I’m usually looking at the sky.

I usually walk looking down or straight ahead. When I'm in an uncomfortable situation where I feel eyes are on me, I would most likely walk looking down to avoid eye contact. Otherwise, ill walk looking forward and sometimes with my eyes closed.

I walk facing down and forwards. that way I avoid collisions and can see where other people are going so I can cut in front of them because they walk to slow.

I usualy look around me. Being a bit paranoiac on the sides. But other than that, straight ahead, so that I don't fucking ram myself into a lampost.

I'm usually listening to music and zoning out so my eyes will naturally go towards movement.This.
Sometimes I even don't notice people calling me out even when I'm not listening to music, mostly because I zone out.

It actually has been proven that looking up and stuff makes you happier/more positive. If you've ever seen that episode of Futurama, it's not made up.

I normally look down... I've always been really good at reading peoples emotions and thoughts through eye contact, I somewhat fear the same happening to me. so if i can, I wear a baseball cap to hide my eyes and allow me to look around without making eye contact. My default position is down though, but if they don't know I'm looking down, then they can't read me. its how I avoid trouble (always going with, if you cant read it, its unpredictable, and those who hunt, hunt whats safe).
The other reason I look down, I have an imposing height, often times people are scared of me and avoid me, especially when our eyes make contact, it really hurts as a child, so I grew to hate eye contact with someone I don't trust.

I usually zone out while I walk. Occasionally meet other glances of people passing by and shrug off the awkwardness with a nod & say "Hey".
In most cases it's because of one's culture. Asians usually avoid glances out of respect. Western culture sees this as being timid or unsocial.

I used to walk while looking down because I was very conscious of tripping or stepping on shit or stuffs like that, then I realized that I frequently bump at other people. I tried looking slightly upwards and it fixed that problem, but then I noticed that I trip more often than usual. So, I decided to look straight ahead whenever I'm walking, because I could clearly see well my walking path on that angle. It also helps me to retain a good body posture by straightening my back when standing or walking.

Mostly down, but lately I've found myself more and more just looking straight or a some sort of angle.
I suppose, after half-a decade spent in places where the concept of cleaning up after your dog (or yourself) does not exist, you get a certain sort of autopilot to avoids shits and the like.
Dry bird poo does not count though.

[color=#2e1a6b]I'll look ahead when I'm walking in normal situations, but I look down when I'm hiking. Which... I'm supposed to be looking around while hiking so that I can enjoy nature

I've gotten used to watching my feet when I walk. I've been almost completely blind for quite some time now, so I've gotten into the habit of paying utmost attention to where I'm going. I also feel the ground with my feet while walking. I'm very conscious like that. The perk of it is that I rarely fall. The drawback is I'm slow as crap. ._.

I look down when walking, but at work, since I have to walk around the place and pump gas, I have to look straight and in my peripherals.
