Conventions, school, bookstores..

The DeMontfort University here in England is quite good place since the university itself host a huge anime conventions where you get to stay for a couple of days in the university doing anime/gaming related things.

I've only met fujioshis at anime conventions and a club. I joined an anime club while I was in college. There was only one female in the club. I thought she was kinda cute (the next door neighbor type of cute), but I never really talked to her. I only joined the club to expand my horizon to the wonderful world of anime.

The obvious places are school anime clubs, conventions, book stores, game stores, anything that may have an asian theme to it.
Other not as common places would be coffee shops, porn stores ( I've met a couple girls on two seperate occasions at my work who happen to recognized the Tsunade necklace I wear from time to time).

You just gotta keep an eye out, and maybe some sort of anime paraphenalia that isn't obnoxious but easy to see. They *should* spot it. Hell, I got digits out of them, and I'm not god-tier handsome (though still handsome)... So I'm sure you still could too.

Also, liking yaoi to some extent may be helpful for you.

OT: like bees to honey(or pollen to be literal). Anywhere that has anime/manga/games. But it may be easier to convert a friend you like (Show her Clannad). Who doesn't like a sweet "cartoon".

On the downside, I tried to lure in my sister but she refuses to watch anything that isn't dubbed, 'cause she "can't read the subtitles fast enough". *facepalm* oh the shame!!

Eh, yeah - I agree with the others that you're likely to find your common yaoi lover at your typical anime club, but I tend to stray away from anime clubs due to the fact that I find most of the members are incredible weeaboos and therefore immature. Honestly, I met my boyfriend on an online dating site, since I was sick of having a ton of guys at my disposal without a single one being worthy of dating... Wow, I sound like a bitch! Not what I meant! Anyway, dating sites are great, especially since they have so many questions for you to answer that most likely you'll meet someone that you're similiar with on one level or another. For me? Seems it found the perfect guys and girls to match me up with that just so happen to be otaku too (maybe it has something to do with personality???)... so I'd try that.
