relatively simple, which version of the karate kid do you prefer?
the old classic one from 1984? (maybe even the sequels? tho that's unlikely) or the remake from 2010?

Also if you go to dominant asian schools with the other kids as minorities, pretty sure bullying works the same way.
The remake was good. I thought it was a great adaptation of the original and in a way comes out a bit better. Of coarse the original is classic, but the remake really did well. Some say the kid is annoying but the fact is, what little 10 year old isn't annoying? He plays the part of a kid well, as that's how all normal kids tend to act like and I can buy the personality and everything. The fight scenes are also definitely superb.

love how there is a "all of them? (except the fourth one)" - cause omg the 4th one, urgh, I gave up after 30 minutes.
Havent seen the latest one, but people are generally positive about it. A common complaint I heard about it though was that the characters were perhaps a little young (especially since there is a romance element - thats what I heard at least).
The first is definatly a Classic, one of my childhood favourites. 2nd one wasnt that bad either, but then it just crashed onwards from there in the 3rd and 4th...

The classic. I mean the first one. Justin Gayfag ripped that shit up. I mean, what the fuck does a faggoty-voiced popstar have to do music videos for a karate-themed film?

no connection to karate at all... D:I would consider that as irrelevant as you end up missing the whole point of the movie. People who argue that the title should've been Kung Fu Kid or other stuff like that miss the obvious reasons why it wasn't changed. Also people forget that no matter what fancy name you give it is still a martial art and when it comes down to it they are all the same.

The classic was awesome, but while I love the classic, I also love the newer one, since everything, from the jokes to the date to how jackie teaches him kung fu, are more up-to-date with our times.
Also, the crane is such a legendary status icon for the original karate kid, it would just feel wrong to copy paste it into the remake.

i prefer the 1st one.
but if you want to compare the 1st one with the latest on(which kinda doesn't have any connection with karate),feel free to see this.got 2 part.

The first and only the first. The new one was good for what it was, and if it had any other title I would have been fine with it, but it just didnt live up to the first.

Everything NC said about the movie was exactly what I argued about why I believed the remake was great if not better than the original. The original was a classic but I really like the remake in how they tried to modernize and improve upon the concept.
